I will taste something and then will find out how to recreate it. I will recreate it as many times as it takes to get it right - sometimes 20 times!!!
My cooking triumphs
After almost 15 tries I have mastered the art of making Clam Chowder - although it's canned clams it is darn right delicious!

Wild Mushroom Puff Pastry
The mushroom mixture was very good. I didn't have fresh thyme so I substituted ground thyme and it added a wonderful flavor. I didn't make triangles out of the pastry. I rolled out both puff pastry sheets and cut into 12 equal sized rectangles. I spooned the mixture onto one rectangle and topped with another rectangle. Took a fork and crimped edges. Brushed with egg wash and sprinkled fresh Parmesan cheese. Baked 20 minutes and it was super yummy!! Thanks for the wonderful recipe Susan!!

Easy Meatloaf
I was a little uneasy about the 1 cup of milk as I have never used milk in meatloaf before. But I was pleasantly pleased! This meatloaf was very good and I didn't change anything and followed the recipe exactly. I wouldn't change a thing except cooking it just a little it longer to get a sort of crust on the meatloaf. Oh, I may use a little less mustard too. But this is certainly a keeper recipe!
