Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
Made this to go with chicken parm, pasta and salad and it delicious and so easy!! I put mine in two loaf pans and let them rise for the 40 minutes and then just brushed olive oil on top and baked them. I can't say enough about this bread and how good it is! It's great toasted as well for breakfast!

Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
This was very very good. I took the advice of one reviewer and went with 2 TBS of olive oil and 1 TBS of butter instead of all that butter just to make it a bit healthier. I'll definitely make this again.

Copper Carrots

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
I decided to make these as one of the sides to my Easter ham. After reading several recipes for glazed carrots I opted for this one and am glad I did. They were delicious. The only change I made, from reading some of the reviews, was to use brown sugar instead of white. Great recipe. Put it in my recipe box for future use!

White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I got my first bread machine at Christmas and have been starting off slowly with basic white bread before I get more adventuresome. Made this bread twice. The first time I set it to medium crust and wasn't sure whether it was 1.5 lb or 2 but set it to 2. The medium crust was too dark for me but the bread was quite tasty except it tasted really yeasty. I don't think I put enough salt in it. Made it again today on light crust and 1.5 setting and put in the amount of salt it called for plus used bread flour, which the first time I used AP. It was delicious. Nothing fancy, just really good white bread!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
Made these today - delicious. I only had a little over a cup and a half of the graham crumbs but they're fine with just that much. Usually make peanut butter balls but hate the mess of the dipping. These were much easier - a little hard to cut but I cut them in small squares and they look find. I agree with one reviewer that they taste like the Reece's Peanut butter cups. I also used the milk chocolate chips as I prefer them. Yummy

Slow Cooker Chili II

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
This is a great recipe. The only modifications I made was to add a small can of diced tomatoes along with the tomato puree and as I'm not a big fan of kidney beans, I only added one can. It's a great basic recipe that you can play around with and with the slow cooker you just leave it.

Honey Barbecued Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
I must have done something wrong as these came out really dry. They looked good when they were covered and then once I took the cover off they were dry and crusty. The sauce was tasty so maybe I'll try it again and leave them covered the whole time.

Sausage, Peppers, Onions, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This was very good. I cut the recipe in half but kept the wine and chicken stock the same as in the original. Also, added some mushrooms in with the peppers and onions. Will def. make this again!

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
These were delicious! I followed the recipe exactly other than using seasoned salt instead of regular. Served them with steak and fresh corn on the cob. Very tasty!

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2010
Have made this many times and always enjoy it. I prefer to have more veggies than just the tomatoes so always add peppers (any colour) mushrooms, zucchini, etc. Don't care for olives so don't add them, but do add the feta and the fresh basil is a must!!!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
This was delicious. Loved the flavour of all the spices. I was concerned as when I was rubbing the spices on 3 boneless chicken breasts it didn't seem like enough, but I'm glad I didn't add more as it was spicy enough. I had to cook it longer than suggested but that's because the breasts I had were rather thick. My husband who is not a big chicken fan thought it was quite good as well. Will def. make this again!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
Was looking for a quick and easy muffin receipt to use up some overripe bananas. Followed this receipt exactly as written except for the addition of cinnamon, which I love. These were delicious and very easy to make!!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
I was in a pinch and didn't have my usual meatball mixture of pork, veal and beef in the freezer, only ground beef. I found this recipe and thought I would take a change. I made it exactly as printed as I didn't have time to play around and it was delicious! I think the red pepper flakes and hot pepper sauce is what really made them pop, along with the other spices. I also didn't have time to bake them so I just popped them in my homemade spagetti sauce and as well they turned out delicious. I had some left over to freeze for another meal and can't wait to eat them again
