Sweet Barbeque Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
I will definately make again. I put everything in the crockpot in the late morning and set on low. Turned it down to warm about an hour before dinner. I like my ingredients to spend some time together. Everyone liked them. This would work well for summertime BBQ's!

Pulled Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This was just alright for me. We all liked it, but it was just alright. I substituted taco seasoning because I had run out of chili powder. I should substituted with Cayenne pepper seasoning instead. It needed more spice for my taste. I actually sprinkled the Cayenne pepper on my chicken after my first bite. I did not have coleslaw on hand. I am sure it would have been much better with that on it.

Mexican Sushi

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2014
A fun appetizer for anytime! Except for the cream cheese mixture, I added each ingredient in rows parallel to the direction I was rolling them up. (see picture I added)I think it makes a cleaner appearance after cutting them. Hope that makes sense. Roll them very snug to eliminate gaps between the ingredients and make sure your knife is sharp so you don't tear the tortilla when you slice them.

Easy Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
Absolutely loved this recipe! No doubt I will make this again. The only difference was I used a can of beef consomme instead of beef broth. I used a sweet onion and it was sooo good. Next time I will put more sweet onion in the mix. I love pressure cooker recipes. HUGE time savers!

Jorge's Pasta-less Eggplant Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2012
I would make again. Although I did not use ketchup or diced tomatoes and just used my left over meat spaghetti sauce from another meal.

Creamy Alfredo Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2014
I made this with a roast and it was a nice change instead of mashed potatoes. I added extra green onion and next time I make it I will add even more! The overall flavor and texture reminded me of a baked potato with all the fixings. Very good!

Flavorful Chicken Fried Steaks with Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This is a good recipe to utilize inexpensive round steak. I will make it again because I really liked the gravy it made with the onions, but I think it is more like swiss steak, def not chickien fried steak. Anyways, I deglazed with dry cooking sherry after I fried the meat. I did not have greek seasoning, which contains mint, so I just used italian seasoning. I served with boiled okra and garlic mashed potatoes. Hubby and all 5 kids enjoyed it!

Kale Soup with Portuguese Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
This soup was tastey to me. Some of my kids and husband really liked it and some kids thought it was just alright. I do not think the serving amount is correct, or maybe I just serve big bowls of soup, but I think not. Thank goodness I used another quart of chicken stock for a total of 3 quarts of stock. I followed other suggestions and chopped the onion and minced the garlic, and added extra garlic. I substituted green chard for kale. I also added bit of red pepper flakes and tossed in about 3/4 cup of frozen okra to help thicken it up just a bit.

Savory Slow Cooker Beef Tips

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
My whole family loved this dish. I used lemon lime soda instead of the ginger ale. I served over mashed potatoes. I cooked on the low setting for 6 1/2 hours. Outstanding!

Alcoholic Sweet Peach Tea

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
This was refreshing, but it needed a bit more vodka and peach schnapps. I brewed my Lipton tea, 3 bags to 4 cups for 5 minutes. Next time I will brew the tea stronger for this drink or brew the tea and refrigerate instead of diluting it by pouring over ice to cool down. Overall, it was a nice refreshing drink to sip on a hot day.

White Chocolate and Raspberry Ice Cream

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This ice cream is delicious & beautiful! My Cuisinart ice cream maker states to run it about 25 minutes, but it took longer with this recipe. I just let it keep mixing until it became the consistency i knew it should be, like soft serve ice cream. I sliced in the raspberry sauce after I transferred the ice cream to my container because I wanted more control of how much it mixed with the ice cream. This will surely be made again!

Pineapple Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Great recipe. Next time I will crush/blend the oranges more because I prefer a smoother overall texture. Took advice from reviews and used 1 tsp. of orange extract. I also made sure to really coat the first layer with frosting. It turned out great! Just look at my pic and you can see how much to put in between the layers.

HERDEZ® Enchiladas Suizas

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2013
This was very good. I did grill the tomatillos about 8 minutes PER side but that may be due to my grill. My son said, "I love everything about this!" My husband said, "The fire roasted tomatillos and the different cheeses make it great!" This made about 12 enchiladas which filled the 8 x 12 pan.

Lemonade Punch

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
I would make again but use less frozen lemonade because it just tasted a bit too sweet. I would also not hassle with the lemonade ice cubes because I think it just made it even sweeter. Next time I will use plain ice cubes with the cherries in each one.
