Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
I added much more seasoning like others. I couldn't stop eating it right out of the pan before I stuffed the peppers 'cause it was so good!

Greek Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
I like this recipe. Instructions were clear. I took the tip of previous reviews and added more zest and juice. I used two 9" round pans and baked for 50 minutes. Next time I will test cake at 40 minutes because it I think will be a bit moister with less baking in these pans and I should have realised this. Maybe some lemon pudding in the mix may make it a wee bit moister as well. My son loved it and wants it for his next birthday party!

Grilled Tri-Tip with Oregon Herb Rub

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This was very good. I didn't have sage so I threw in poultry seasoning which contains sage. I used kosher salt as well. Took the tip from previous reviews I read and made it into fajitas the next night with black bean garlic sauce, Yummmm!

Awesome Easy Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
I would make this again, but use less chicken broth, more freshly grated parmesan cheese, make a roux with bacon grease and as always with me, use more garlic. I used an entire bulb of garlic I had roasted previously. I also recommend adding broccoli florets. I also substituted rigatoni pasta because I just felt like having a more substanital pasta and it worked well. It also needed more salt in my opinion.

Kale Soup with Portuguese Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
This soup was tastey to me. Some of my kids and husband really liked it and some kids thought it was just alright. I do not think the serving amount is correct, or maybe I just serve big bowls of soup, but I think not. Thank goodness I used another quart of chicken stock for a total of 3 quarts of stock. I followed other suggestions and chopped the onion and minced the garlic, and added extra garlic. I substituted green chard for kale. I also added bit of red pepper flakes and tossed in about 3/4 cup of frozen okra to help thicken it up just a bit.

Sweet Barbeque Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
I will definately make again. I put everything in the crockpot in the late morning and set on low. Turned it down to warm about an hour before dinner. I like my ingredients to spend some time together. Everyone liked them. This would work well for summertime BBQ's!

Pineapple Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Great recipe. Next time I will crush/blend the oranges more because I prefer a smoother overall texture. Took advice from reviews and used 1 tsp. of orange extract. I also made sure to really coat the first layer with frosting. It turned out great! Just look at my pic and you can see how much to put in between the layers.

Flavorful Chicken Fried Steaks with Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This is a good recipe to utilize inexpensive round steak. I will make it again because I really liked the gravy it made with the onions, but I think it is more like swiss steak, def not chickien fried steak. Anyways, I deglazed with dry cooking sherry after I fried the meat. I did not have greek seasoning, which contains mint, so I just used italian seasoning. I served with boiled okra and garlic mashed potatoes. Hubby and all 5 kids enjoyed it!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
Too bland for me so I will not make this again. It wasn't horrible, just ehhhh. I like onions but I did not like them in this recipe. Cheese sauce should be layered in with the potato slices.

Parmesan Crusted Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
I would make again but instead of flipping the fish I would fry it in a oven proof pan and then I will put it in the oven to broil. Also, I will add some brown sugar to bread crumbs. It may not sound good to you, as I thought when I first heard about it, but I have sprinkled it own salmon before broiling along with white wine and herbs and butter and it tastes great.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2012
Thank you Erica G. for this awesomey awesome rice pudding recipe! Family voted it better than Kozy Shack. I used white arborio rice which is an Italian medium grain rice. I now have another way to put a smile on my husband's face! ;)

Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage and Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
We enjoyed this very much. I added extra chicken broth, spinach and tortellini. I sliced sausage and then browned really well. My husband who is not a tortellini fan really liked this soup. He did mention I should use even more spinach next time.

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
This is really good and will surely be making this again soon! I would give 5 stars if recipe would have stated the extra spices. You really need to add some more seasoning to the chicken. I boiled my chicken and did not bake. As previous reviewers suggested, I mixed shredded chicken with sour cream and I added a lot of taco seasoning, some cumin, garlic salt and cayenne pepper. I just kept adding until I could taste something. I made more than recipe calls for and used a big glass pan. I did not have a 1/2" of sauce on bottom of pan but maybe 1/4" or so. Due to making a larger amount, I kept it in oven for an additional 30 minutes.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
I really like this and have made a few times. The last time I used Asiago cheese and thought it tasted even better. I also added a hundful or so of pinenuts. I cooked it longer than one hour and the ketchup got a little dark looking, but it made the flavor of the ketchup more itense. Loved it!
