Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
This is a keeper! Doubled up on the sauce. I used chicken broth to cook frozen veggies in and then strained it out and used it in the sauce which I doubled like others suggested. I used larger amounts of seasoning, too.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
This is fantastic! Some reviewers stated they added extra spice. If you like a spicier bread than do so, but for me it was just right. I used a bundt pan for a prettier presentation and baked it for about an hour.

Crescent Dogs

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
I patted two triangles into a square and then cut that into three small squares. I used lil' smokey sausages and dotted the dough with mustard and then rolled them up. Next time I will add cheese like the recipe states and I am sure it will taste better.

S'Mores Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
I gave it three stars because I took the average from votes in my family. My youngest absolutely loved it, my other kids liked it as did my husband, but no rave reviews. Super rich is what I heard the most. Also, it was a beast to get out of the pan after I refrigerated it for an hour. I greased the pan with Crisco too. I would grease and use parchment paper and grease the parchment paper as well if I make again. Also recipe doesn't specify what kind if mini chocolate chips. My store only carried semi-sweet which was cool with me.

Crispy Garlic-Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
My family enjoyed the chicken. I had to kick the oven temp up to 450 and then just ended up broiling at the end to crisp it up. The sauce I did not care for.

Creamy Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
This was o.k. I used extra lemon juice and it did not over power this dish. It was bland to me.

Pulled Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This was just alright for me. We all liked it, but it was just alright. I substituted taco seasoning because I had run out of chili powder. I should substituted with Cayenne pepper seasoning instead. It needed more spice for my taste. I actually sprinkled the Cayenne pepper on my chicken after my first bite. I did not have coleslaw on hand. I am sure it would have been much better with that on it.

Schweineruckbraten (Microwave Loin of Pork)

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
Surprisingly good! I did not use fresh rosemary, I just sprinkled some crushed rosemary on pork along with other seasonings. SUPER easy and quick. I will surely make this again for a fast easy meal.

Buttermilk Pie with Molasses

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
Pretty darn good. I, too, as others suggested, cut back on the sugar. I used 1 1/4 C and threw in about another tablespoon or so for the heck of it. :) My daughter and I thought it tasted like creme brulee. I used a store bought deep dish crust that I thawed for 15 minutes. I baked this longer than 45 minutes. Closer to an hour.

Alcoholic Sweet Peach Tea

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
This was refreshing, but it needed a bit more vodka and peach schnapps. I brewed my Lipton tea, 3 bags to 4 cups for 5 minutes. Next time I will brew the tea stronger for this drink or brew the tea and refrigerate instead of diluting it by pouring over ice to cool down. Overall, it was a nice refreshing drink to sip on a hot day.

I would make again. Although I did not use ketchup or diced tomatoes and just used my left over meat spaghetti sauce from another meal.

Lemonade Punch

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
I would make again but use less frozen lemonade because it just tasted a bit too sweet. I would also not hassle with the lemonade ice cubes because I think it just made it even sweeter. Next time I will use plain ice cubes with the cherries in each one.

White Chocolate and Raspberry Ice Cream

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This ice cream is delicious & beautiful! My Cuisinart ice cream maker states to run it about 25 minutes, but it took longer with this recipe. I just let it keep mixing until it became the consistency i knew it should be, like soft serve ice cream. I sliced in the raspberry sauce after I transferred the ice cream to my container because I wanted more control of how much it mixed with the ice cream. This will surely be made again!

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
I really like this and have made a few times. The last time I used Asiago cheese and thought it tasted even better. I also added a hundful or so of pinenuts. I cooked it longer than one hour and the ketchup got a little dark looking, but it made the flavor of the ketchup more itense. Loved it!
