I used spicy sausage, fried the peppers and onions up right after the sausage, took them out, put in garlic, beer, paste and spices to simmer for 10 minutes then added meat and pepper onion mix back in for 30 minutes. I would probably add less beer next time, or remove juices after peppers and onions because it was too wet. The flavor was awesome!
