About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom to a wonderful toddler version of myself. My little boy is my favorite person! I love my husband and I am very close to my two brothers and little sister. When I am not being Harriet Homemaker and Mommy of the Year, I enjoy crocheting, reading, and long walks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I am always up for trying something new!
My favorite things to cook
oatmeal cookies, chicken noodle soup, chicken broccoli stirfry, slowcooker BBQ chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Lasagna at my dad's house. And snacks and appetizer's galore at my mom's house. Hubby and I love to cook together as well and love to try cooking something new at least once a week.
My cooking triumphs
from scratch spinach dip last Christmas, my from scratch oatmeal cookies, and the dinner I put together for my son's first birthday.
My cooking tragedies
the cake i made for my son's birthday was quite tragic but tasted amazing. I used my giant cupcake baking set and used chocolate pudding for the filling. The pudding was too heavy for the cake to hold it and the hold thing fell apart and looked like a chocolate and white frosting volcano.

Chicken and Rice Casserole I
Not bad at all. I added an extra can of mushrooms and a cup of frozen spinach. I also added a bit of garlic powder and some other seasonings. The rice turned into somewhat of a bread stuffing consistency so I might add some more milk next time and cut out the last 15 minutes of cooking because everything appeared to be cooked correctly when the hour was up. Overall me and the hubby liked it and it will go into rotation.
