Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2002
Good, but the cookie ended up flat, I added 1/4 cup more flour, 1/2 teaspoon more baking soda, and 1/2 tsp less salt the second time and they came out perfect! YOu must do these adjustments or you will probably have a flat cookie.

Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
If I had more thumbs they would all be way, way up for this one. I was skeptical after reading other reviews, but decided to go with the recipe as is. The only thing I did different was added a small bag of semi-sweet chocolate chunks and a small bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are, as someone else described, an unusual consistancy before dropping onto pan. Very gooey and it did take the full 22 minutes...no matter how Narly they look at first. keep the balls/drops no bigger than a tablespoon as they do spread out like flat gobs of goo. In the last 7 minutes they miraculously take cookie form, it's amazing because they really do stay gooey looking for a while. I think if you turn the tempature up higher the dough edges will burn, so don't be tempted. a bit sweet, but what a perfect cookie. exactly what I was looking for and my male co-workers said they were orgasmic. The finished cookie looks just like a cookie you'ld buy at Mrs. Smiths in the mall. I won't be using any other peanut butter cookie recipe again. Thanks. P.S. If the peanut butter flavor isn't strong enough for you, it is mild, don't touch the recipe, I'd recommend just adding nuts or peanut butter chips. They stay soft & chewy longer than any cookies I've ever made. I made these twice now, and refridgerated the dough before baking the second time, much easier to ball, came out exactly the same. Yum!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2002
Tasted like....vinigar...and I really don't think vinegar and steak should go together. needs more of something, salt maybe, onion seasoning would add a nice touch. The peppercorn could stay, but really, I would try this again if I were cooking on the grill, but this just shouldn't be pan cooked together. as a marinade, I'd do it again, but not exactly like this. I really don't think I'll try this again, I think the measurements are off, with the red wine, not sure, but this wasn't as good as I thought it might be. Also, In my opinion, these reviews here, claiming this recipe to be deliscious or wonderful are just plain OVER RATED!....No one in my family was enthusiastic about this one. I was not impressed, and frankly this may very well be the worst flavor for steak I've ever encountered...Minus some vinigar or wine, cocka!!!

Pumpkin Roll with Toffee Cream Filling and Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
Bravo. Delicious and Magnifique!! Never would have known it was this easy if I hadn't found it here!! Gotta try this!! I did find the gelatin mixed with the rum part was a bit tricky, and I boshed that a bit, so I added whip cream from a container and an extra tablespoon of the rum to cover my mistake...no problems, it worked great! I'm making this again at Christmas for a party and I am going to omit the gelatin part altogether and save the hassle, since no one even noticed anyway and everyone loved it last time. It's a keeper!!! Thanks! I thought it would take time to make this recipe by the way, I had to send my hubby out for a missing ingredient too and was cutting it close to when it should be done, so when I finally was able to begin, I was amazed at how fast I was able to put this together. Looks like a lot of work, soooo easy though!! forgot to brush the cake with rum too like someone suggested, I think that will be great! I will have to write it into the recipe so I won't forget. the cake part...must use cake flour...it's so flexable. Otherwise it will definately break when rolling. Yummo!

Fried Steak with Peppercorn Gravy Sauce

Reviewed: May 22, 2004
I omitted the vinigar and the white wine, substituted both for a dry Red wine. Tasty, and very similar to the flavors of the sauce used at Outback Steak house for dipping the Lamb Chops. YUM!So Easy! Thank you.

Heavenly Pink Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2002
I ate it, but this wasn't as good as I had hoped. It could have used rice. Too blah of texture. If you are looking for something really rich and fruity, this is it. I would eat it again but if I make it again I would add white rice for added texture. It was a bit on the sweet side and I couldn't eat much of it being so rich in sweetness. Very mushy and something just seemed to be missing. TEXTURE!!!!! Thanks anyway.

Peanut-Ginger Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
MMMMMM, MMMM, MMM...This recipe is to die for! I tried it once, lost the recipe and forgot it's name, but thankfully found it again. Never used the chili paste because I never have it on hand, instead, I used Frank's Red hot sauce in it's place. Added it to my recipe box and will never lose it again!! This should be gourmet...it is amazing and all my friends ask "What is this marinade?" and claim they have nnever had anything better!! OMG!! It is delicious!!! Thank you!!!

Rossi's Sausage Gnocchi

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
Magnificant!! Bravo! This is a rich and tongue tantalizing italian recipe that I will use again and again. I have made this several times since finding it and when I am in the mood for extra spice, I add only about 4, 1/4 inch slices of marinated jalapeno peppers and mix it up with pepperoni slices instead of italian sausage. Either way...if you are an italian food fan...you will love this!! I do! Thanks!

Not bad. I was in the mood for something mexican and quick, and I had black beans and etc...on hand....I made this twice. first time was ok, but needed a bit more flavor...unless you like mac-n-cheese. The second time I used a package of taco seasoning and a dash of red pepper and Bam! Now that's a good cheesy yummo concoction and it's fast. Yay! Bravo...thanks!

Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Not bad, however.....1/2 cup of butter + 1/4 cup of oil? I don't see that being necessary. I omitted both. I use only 2 table spoons of oil, veggie, and only to cook the sausage in. I guess the oil stuf is to make it saucy. I used 1 can tomatoe soup instead. add a couple tablespoons of water...I really liked it! this is a keeper.

Cheese Cake Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2002
This recipe is soo perfect. I was looking for something to offset my chocolate brownies, but I didn't want a frosting, more like a cream brownie texture. Well, I came across this and It looked so easy so I tried it. I simply pouered it over the brownies when they were fifteen minutes to being done and stuck them back into the oven for 15 more minutes. What a delight, just what I was looking for. It made a sort of caky deliscious layer on top of the chocolate brownies. I lvoed it. Going to be keeping this recipe, Thanks!

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2007
Move over Martha!! This dessert is Absolutely Scrumptious! I only made a minor change (I didn't want to, hubby bought the wrong kind of sour cream)which was light sour cream instead of regular. I also added 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to my pudding mixture because the light sour cream didn't taste quite as sour as normal stuff and also had a weird after-taste which after my lemon juice adjustment to the mix, dissappeared. Anywho, it turned out phenominal. My bowl was large so I needed additional strawberries and kiwi to top it, other wise I wouldn't have changed anything at all and I'd bet it would be even better.... This is an Amazing dessert. Thank you, Thank you a billion times!!
