Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
By far the best warm dip I've ever tried. I've made it with spinich and without spinich using only artichoke...either way...it's a super hit and I've made it several times for just sitting around watching a movie at home or going to family gatherings...it's always devoured quickly!! PSSST! Make a second batch for yourself after because you will likely have none to take home from a social gathering. YUMMM!

Fried Steak with Peppercorn Gravy Sauce

Reviewed: May 22, 2004
I omitted the vinigar and the white wine, substituted both for a dry Red wine. Tasty, and very similar to the flavors of the sauce used at Outback Steak house for dipping the Lamb Chops. YUM!So Easy! Thank you.

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2002
Tasted like....vinigar...and I really don't think vinegar and steak should go together. needs more of something, salt maybe, onion seasoning would add a nice touch. The peppercorn could stay, but really, I would try this again if I were cooking on the grill, but this just shouldn't be pan cooked together. as a marinade, I'd do it again, but not exactly like this. I really don't think I'll try this again, I think the measurements are off, with the red wine, not sure, but this wasn't as good as I thought it might be. Also, In my opinion, these reviews here, claiming this recipe to be deliscious or wonderful are just plain OVER RATED!....No one in my family was enthusiastic about this one. I was not impressed, and frankly this may very well be the worst flavor for steak I've ever encountered...Minus some vinigar or wine, cocka!!!

Cheese Cake Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2002
This recipe is soo perfect. I was looking for something to offset my chocolate brownies, but I didn't want a frosting, more like a cream brownie texture. Well, I came across this and It looked so easy so I tried it. I simply pouered it over the brownies when they were fifteen minutes to being done and stuck them back into the oven for 15 more minutes. What a delight, just what I was looking for. It made a sort of caky deliscious layer on top of the chocolate brownies. I lvoed it. Going to be keeping this recipe, Thanks!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2002
I gave this five stars for bieng simply deliscious. Funny thing I noticed though, if you have ever looked on the back of the Quaker Oats oatmeal lid, there ais a recipe called Vanishing Oatmeal cookies, and this recipe is identical except that these have 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup shortening as apposed to the original vanishing cookie which uses a full 1 cup of butter only. too funny. and this has just added ground cloves, it's practically the same recipe. Nice try though, really good still!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2002
Good, but the cookie ended up flat, I added 1/4 cup more flour, 1/2 teaspoon more baking soda, and 1/2 tsp less salt the second time and they came out perfect! YOu must do these adjustments or you will probably have a flat cookie.

Heavenly Pink Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2002
I ate it, but this wasn't as good as I had hoped. It could have used rice. Too blah of texture. If you are looking for something really rich and fruity, this is it. I would eat it again but if I make it again I would add white rice for added texture. It was a bit on the sweet side and I couldn't eat much of it being so rich in sweetness. Very mushy and something just seemed to be missing. TEXTURE!!!!! Thanks anyway.

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2002
Sensational! I will make this again, and again. You should know that wether you roll it up or mix it into the meat, the cheese will seperate from the meat in cooking. It's the natural oils in the cheese that cause this. I top the meatloaf with ketchup at the start of cooking. I lay 3 slices of American cheese over the top about 15 minutes before it's done cooking. It really jazzes up the presentaton. Loved it! My whole family loves it!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2002
This was sensational!!! Although I was out of bread crumbs, I used crushed saltines instead and I had no seasoning salt so I used Monterey Style Roasted Garlic and Red Bell Pepper seasoning with Monreal chicken seasoning and rather than sprinkle over the chops, I blended it with the saltines. I didn't have any soup handy so I used what I had and that was roasted chicken gravy. With all the different spices and seasonings that I used, it really couldn't have gone wrong. It came out wonderful. Thank you for the great cooking idea. I will make this very often. Finger licken Good!

Parmesan Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2002
This haad very good flavor, and I may make it again. The thing that got me confused was that it said rice"converted". I assumed it meant cooked. What else could it mean? after amking it I decided that I would follow the advice of another reviewer who said she was skeptical about adding the uncooked rice. Hers turned out great by using uncooked rice and I think from now on I will also use uncooked rice. I think cooking the rice first is what makes it sorta mushy and gummy like. Other wise, it's a very good dish especially when you are strapped for time, throw it on in the morning and don't worry about it all day till time to eat. My kids loved it too, a 9yr. old and a 1 year old.
