Recently baked and decorated my first birthday cake for my friend! It was so much fun!
My cooking tragedies
A few years ago I was making caramel icing and accidentally misread the recipe, adding 1 1/2 cups of butter instead of 1/2 cup... it was very oily and we tried to soak off the excess with napkins! Ended up scrapping it, obviously =P

Happy Shrimp
Made this for Father's Day, and everyone loved it! A very nice way to prepare shrimp, and the sauce is a great topper for rice too!

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich
Taking the first bite of this brought me back to Italy... (or it would, if I had ever been there!) Such a great flavour from the herbs and the melted cheese, and marinating the tomatoes made it so much better than I thought! I just used my toaster oven since I was only making for myself this time, but next time I will made for the whole family! I love this recipe since it's so easy both to make and to remember, and it smells amazing!

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole
Such a delicious and creamy dish! I had both leftover broccoli and rice, and this recipe was just the thing to use them up! I didn't have any chicken, so I left it out and added a couple stalks of celery, and it was still amazing! I didn't even miss the chicken, even though I usually consider no meal complete without meat! Very smooth and creamy, and just the right amount of vegetables! (I broiled it for a couple minutes at the end to melt the cheese better, and it worked great!)
