Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2013
A very easy recipe with very good results, but it's a bit sweeter than I would like. The apples and sugar caramelized beautifully, the topping is crumbly and nice... but yeah, this makes a really, really sweet dessert. I might try tweaking it with less sugar, or by tossing the apples in some lemon juice.

Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
This is a great base for beef stew. There's room to expand upon it and tweak... and yes, as others have said, it can be a bit bland if you don't throw in some beef broth or bouillon or onion soup mix or something. I throw in cabbage and turnips as well, and I toss the onions and garlic in with the browning meat.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
Simple and delicious! I made it with the full amount of butter required, and it's perfectly tasty that way. I did, however, halve the recipe and add garlic powder and chili flakes. Gave it a nice extra bit of zing! The chicken is tender and the sauce is delicious. I'm putting this in my regular dinner rotation.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
This makes for a nice cakey brownie, like others have said. I like mine a bit cakey, so hey, whatever. The results are delicious! The frosting is, like others have said, in need of a tablespoon of milk/cream to get it properly combined... but after that point, yum! Sweet and chocolatey and easy! I'll be making them again.

Crunchy Apple Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
This turned out wonderfully! I followed the instructions, but added about a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. I also omitted the raisins and added more apple. It's absolutely delicious when it's still warm. My friends raved about it! I'll definitely be making this again.

Tasty Tuna Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
These are delicious! I found the mixture came out dry, rather than too squishy. (Might have been the size of the egg that I used. Or the size of the can of tuna.) They were easy to press together, and held together well while frying. I left out the red pepper, used a shallot instead of an onion, and used a dash of sriracha chili sauce. Super-easy, super-yum.
