I'm a young wife and mother of two great little boys. I'm not a health nut but I love eating tons of fresh produce and making family meals for my hard working husband to come home and enjoy. I also enjoy cooking and entertaining for when our friends and family get together.
My favorite things to cook
I love my broccoli salad and something I call bachelors lasagna!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've fallen into a pattern, which I believe takes after the southern tradition, of a meat and two veggie sides. If I'm really feeling ambitious I might make an appetizer and dessert(maybe cobbler?).
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean zucchini bread and my husband has told me my deviled eggs are better than the one his Grandma makes(Wow)! My au gratin potatoes are also a favorite and I've found if I just add some ham it makes a great main dish or good left overs for breakfast.
My cooking tragedies
I am having a horrible time finding the right recipe to make lasagna. I seem to always make it overly runny.

Butter Cookies II
I love to make these with my toddler! He thinks they are great and we like them because they aren't overly sweet for him.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
I make it without the onions for my husband and tonight is the third time in the last week he has asked me to make it! I also some times slice up a little ham and serve it as a main dish. Great for a lazy night dinner.

Zucchini Bread
Wonderful! I left out the chocolate chips though. I packed it in my husbands lunch and the one day I forgot it he came home asking how soon I could make it again because he really missed it. I also made a few loaves for friends as gifts and they went over great. This will be in my recipe box for life!
