Baked Pork Spring Rolls

My husband really liked these! They are fairly easy to make, although a bit time consuming. I thought they were ok, though a bit bland. I will make them again however. Would rate them 3.5 if I could ^_^

Chinese Steamed Buns

I hope to make this recipe as soon as possible. The problem is that I'm currently living in the Sichuan province and no one here seems to have any idea what baking powder is...I've described what its supposed to do, and wonder how they make the buns that i see street vendors selling everywhere without it.

This was great. Simple and yummy. Had a can of hominy that I didn't know what to do with. My husband loved it, although I can't say it was healthy ;)

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Followed the recipes a 'T' and it turned out GREAT! Dough was easy to roll and cookies came out soft and chewy and stayed that way! Great flavor too!

Pineapple Zucchini Muffins

Cut the oil in half and substituted, of all things, pureed cantaloupe (it is what I had on hand!) left out a quarter cup of sugar and upped the spice a little by adding ground ginger - and as always I used WholeWheatWhite flour instead of reg. white

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Great recipe for a nice fast glaze. I also did the microwave method (45 sec, stir. 45 sec stir. Pour) and it turned out great. Looks beautiful and flavor was very good, but not the best. Only substitution was artificial maple syrup instead of corn syrup (it's mostly corn syrup anyway!) because it's what I had on hand.

Three Bean Salad

I would have named this SWEET three bean salad. The spices were good, but it was too sweet and not vinegary enough for me. Second time I reduced sugar to 1/4 C and gave an extra splash of vinegar. This helped a lot.
