Having a healthy lifestyle is a pain in the tuchus, and everyone knows it! Well, it's not as much of a pain in the tuchus if your healthy food is delicious, and delicious right from the beginning of your day! I started playing around with making smoothies awhile ago, and this blog contains my… MORE

About this Cook
A whimsical creature of madness and sass, I tend to lollerfluff about, sniffing things. Also, I'm a champ, and genuinely strange.
My favorite things to cook
I love to put a starch, veggies, and spices all in a bowl and mix it up! Alternatively I eat piles of raw things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad used to cook for at least 20x the number of people we'd have at dinner so no one would be hungry for weeks. I always try to do that.
My cooking triumphs
I love baking cakes and pies!! I have decorated some pretty sweet looking cakes and my pies are always delicious.
My cooking tragedies
Once on Christmas Eve I tried to make a from-scratch Cherpumple that turned into a Chernople, and I have the Facebook album to prove it!

Balsamic Pear, Chicken, and Asparagus
This was an AWESOME slow-cooker recipe! I omitted the chicken, because I'm vegetarian, and reduced the oil to 1 tsp (I assumed not all of it would make it into the slow cooker after the chicken was done cooking) but kept everything else the same. It was DELICIOUS. I love the combination of sweet and sour and salty and savory. Super easy and great for a farmer's market basket full of asparagus! It's not quite a meal on its own, so I'd recommend serving it over rice or with crusty bread.

Easter Surprise Cupcakes
A fun recipe! I had to make it without muffin cups (because I forgot to buy them, silly me) and I found the chocolate eggs sank RIGHT to the bottom. My advice would be to put a bit more batter at the bottom of the cup than you think you need - that way the egg can sink to the middle! All in all though - delicious! I made mine with colored sprinkles funfettying the top! :-)

Creamiest Rice Pudding
This rice pudding was GREAT! I made it exactly to recipe (so glad there weren't raisins) and it came out tasting exactly as a good rice pudding should. What a wonderful summer snack! Thank you!
