About this Cook
I'm in Sweden where I go to school, teach english and yoga and volunteer at the local cat shelter. I love to cook, especially bake because it's relaxing.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, bread, cake since I have a mean sweet tooth. Italian, Thai & Moroccan are a few of my favorite tastes. I love cooking soups and other comfort foods as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making sugar cookies with my family for christmas. We put a little lemon in ours and it makes such a difference.
My cooking triumphs
Everything I bake is inhaled by friends & family members. :) Swedes seem to love almost everything I make but I think it's due more to the fact that americans use WAY more spices and ingredents in their cooking than swedes do so it's something new and exciting.
My cooking tragedies
One year at xmas while making sugar cookie dough for the next day I used pickeling salt instead of sugar. It was in a big jar at my dad's house and it looked just like sugar. I didn't taste the dough before putting it in the fridge so we found out the next day when we went to roll out the cookies lol! I made salsa one time here and made it really mild on purpose to accomedate my swedish bf's family. His mom and sisters still freaked out about how hot and spicy it was. That's more funny than a tragedy to me but they went around all day long fanning their mouths and drinking water and making comments about how super hot it was lol.

Easy Iced Coffee
Very good and very easy to make. It's great on a hot day like today!

Chocolate Butter Cream II
This was below average to okay as written. Like others have said, it needs way more milk to be spreadable. I also ended up adding almost twice as much cocoa to get a really good chocolate flavor.
