Red Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
We loved this. Very tasty and the sauce was amazing. I covered it lightly with foil while cooking and went for the 4 hours instead of 2. It was more than enough sauce in the end.

Eggless Eggnog

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
I made this during the holiday season and my entire family LOVED it! Everyone that tasted it had nothing but good things to say. We left out the rum extract just because we had kids that wanted to try it as well. They enjoyed it and everyone wanted the recipe. So good and easy too. My husband can now have his eggnog whenever he likes. He's a happy man!

Warm and Spicy Autumn Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
I loved this! I made it over the holidays and my husband and I adored it! I made it mostly for us to enjoy at home and he went so far as to bring it to work with him in a thermos. It kept well and just got better over time. We also chilled it and it made for a great cold drink as well. Fantastic!

Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Good base stew but I had to add a lot more seasoning to it. It was bland without it. I also ended up having to thicken it up more. I took the advice of one of the previous reviews and used instant potato flakes and it worked out great. I'll make this again with the changes though.

Ground Beef Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
I had no way to get to the grocery store and it was my husband's birthday! I was scrambling to find a recipe to use my ground beef in and found this one. I figured I'd stray from the usual meat loaf and try making my first ever Shepherd's Pie. I bumped up the meat mixture with some fresh corn off the cob and some fresh tomatoes to go along with the green beans. Added my favorite spices and topped it with the potatoes. I didn't have any potatoes to make the mash but I DID have some boxed instant potatoes in the pantry. I made those, added some cream cheese & the egg and crossed my fingers that it would work. This came out fantastic! I looked like a star and my southern boy was super happy! Thanks for this recipe Ginger!
