I am a 46 year old mother of two beautiful sons, priviledged to have been able to stay home to raise them for the last 17 years. I am now taking some time for me to eat healthy, exercise and shed those unwanted pounds!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook nutritious and delicious meals for my 'boys', using as much fresh, local and organic produce/meats/fish as my wallet can handle :-) I like to eat a lot of quinoa, berries, trout, salads....finding new and delicious healthy recipes that are also low calorie but packed with nutrients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roast dinner with raspberry pie for dessert (paternal nana). British breakfast with all the yummy (fattening!) things that go along with it :-)
My cooking triumphs
Learning to make fast and delicious meals for my boys sports (carb loading in a good way!) I make a super delicious pasta sauce for game nights. I am known for my yummy stews with dumplings!
My cooking tragedies
I CANNOT get pork chops right, no matter how many different ways I try it, argh! Always tough :( But I am great with a pork roast or tenderloin, thank goodness!
