Spinach and Orzo Salad

So good, but next time I want to add more spinach, use less orzo, and add some lemon juice. We loved it as it was though.

This is just what I wanted in a beef barley soup. I love the lentils. I didn't have beef granules so I used beef stock. Also I didn't have lemon pepper seasoning so I just used pepper. Next time I will try to make it more spicy I think, maybe just with red pepper flakes.

Blueberry Sauce

I agree with those who say to let it sit. Honestly, this gets better every day. I have been eating it with a spoon it is so good. I have made it several times and I pretty much always follow the recipe exactly. Tonight I plan to eat it on crepes filled with 1 package of cream cheese mixed with 1/2 can of condensed milk. I am pretty sure my husband will fall in love with me all over again when he tastes the crepes.

Ruth's Red Lentil and Potato Soup

I have never made anything lentil before so this was an experiment. I didn't know what file powder was so I left it out. I was out of allspice so I didn't use that either. Other than that I followed the recipe and it was delicious. The spices were different and interesting. Next time I will serve it over a little bit of rice with some naan.

Kentucky Biscuits

These were delicious, although maybe a little sweeter than I would want. Next time I will use less sugar, maybe half, and about a 1/4 tsp of salt. Other than that they were delicious. I will also note that the middles weren't done after 15 min.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

These were very good, although I tried putting vanilla in like another reviewer said and didn't like that. Wish I had stuck to the original recipe. I did modify the size as well.

I love this recipe. The cream cheese filling is delicious (I hate frosting). My only problem is that sometimes the cake cracks. I always get compliments on this recipe.

Apricot Cream Cheese Thumbprints

I used raspberry as well as apricot, these are so good. And they are pretty looking. Not very hard to make. I like the slight lemon flavor. Left out the lemon zest and added extra juice. They were still yummy.

Herman Reunion Cheese Ball

I doubled the seasonings in this recipe because it tasted bland the way it's written. Served it as an appetizer for Thanksgiving. Everyone there loved it. Someone even said it was addictive. I will definitly make this again.
