Pennsylvania Dutch Funny Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
This is the same recipe I use from my great grandmother in Pennsburg PA. Except for one thing. You put the batter in first and then the cocoa mix over it and it sinks to the bottom as it bakes. Wonderful!!!

Irish Lassie's Liver and Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
This has to be one of the best liver and onion recipes I've ever used. Even my 11 yr old son w/ autism loves this! The only change I made was to leave out the bell peppers as he does not like them. Thanks beadanurse for a great recipe!

Indian Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
This recipe is wonderful, but I found a way to leave the skin on. When putting the chicken in, to marinade, lift the skin and put the mixture under the skin as well as the outside. When you remove it from the grill, the chicken and the skin, both, have great taste!! Also, if you have a local city market, like we do in Kansas City, use Tandoori seasoning to give it the color and leave out the food coloring. It makes a huge differene.

Vidalia Heaven

Made recipe exactly as stated except used beef base instead of beef bouillon. (some readers stated the bouillon was gritty) Note: 1 tsp of beef base equals one bouillon cube. Great recipe!!

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Very good recipe. I tripled it. Also added blue cheese while making the dressing in the food processor and then stirred in some blue cheese at the end to make it chunky. Thanks for the great recipe!

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
This is exactly how grandmother made potato salad, except I add 2 tablespoons of Marzetti slaw dressing. It gives it a little something and makes it a little less bland. Thanks for bringing back memories of making potato salad with my grandmother!!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
This was wonderful! Didn't change a thing except for letting the curry cook a little longer (as suggested) before putting in the onions and garlic. Wonderful taste! Served with basmati rice.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
I will never buy store bought ranch dressing again. I did as others suggested and thinned it out a bit for salad dressing and added a little more garlic. My 11 year old loves salad now! Thanks!

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
These were good but needed a little something. I used the taco seasoning recipe from this site. Maybe a more chicken to cheese ratio would work better next time. Also, I used flour tortillas. Will use corn next time.

Pan-Seared Tilapia

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
This reminded me of how my Nana made perch from, the Poconos, when I visited. I did however use cayenne to season the tilapia as well as salt, pepper and garlic powder. Thanks for the recipe!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
This was great!! Used vidalia onions since they're in season and it turned out perfect! Will make once a week. My 10 yr old son loved them even with the onions.
