About this Cook
I'm a young lady that usually cooks for two, but loves to cook for a crowd!! I love crafty things, scrapbooks, jewellery, cooking and things of the sort. I love to experiment with clean recipes and try to buy only natural ingredients!
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE cooking healthy, clean entrees and delicious desserts with natural ingredients! I find it hard to stock EVERYTHING at all times, no space and only two people to shop for. I have found that living on my own has expanded my "thrifty creativity" - I work with what I have and am usually happy with the results.
My favorite family cooking traditions
LASAGNA! My mom always made the sauce fresh from scratch. No fillers and no fake ingredients. Only thing that made this dish "un-clean" would be the enormous amount of cheese she used. It's the one dish I accommodate for!
My cooking triumphs
I'm lactose intolerant and my boyfriend is gluten intolerant so accomplishing gluten free, dairy free (or low dairy) dishes that taste the same as regular ss the best feeling! I also try to find dairy substitutes that work like dairy... it's always a challenge, but when accomplished, so rewarding! Your food tastes great and you don't suffer afterwards.
My cooking tragedies
I don't honestly know where to begin.... burning out a microwave by using the "timer" on cook for far too long! Melting a cutting board to an element, burning several batches of cookies and toasted nuts over and over and over again - for the same dish! It happens, but you learn from it! Granted, all these "tragedies" were when I was about ten years old, so maybe I should count myself lucky!

Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Dip
Hands down thee best appy EVER! I used white cheddar cheese so it had more of the sharp zing you would expect in a buffalo wing and I also added cayenne pepper powder because I didn't find it quite spicy enough. This is always a hit at every function I've ever made it for. I have a hard time actually getting it to the event, because I want to eat it all by spoonfuls! AMAZING!

Coconut Oatmeal Cookies I
AWESOME cookies!! I subbed in my gluten free all purpose blend which worked wonderfully. I also added a cup of raisins and subbed in lemon extract instead of vanilla. I used two teaspoons, instead of one for lemon extract and they were perfect. Everyone raved about them. A perfect, sweet and yet tart cookies!

Zucchini Yogurt Multigrain Muffins
Delicious muffin! It should be known, that I always rate based on how well the recipe does being transformed to GLUTEN FREE! These held up pretty good considering. I did a lot of similar alterations like other users, less sugar, less honey, less yogourt, less oil, more applesauce, only zucchini, no carrots, etc. I think the only reason I couldn't rate them five stars is that they should NOT go in liners. They were very good, but not oily/fattening enough to come out of a liner. I will definitely make these again though, this time with greases tins instead :)
