My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
The first time I made this, all I did differently was add molasses as suggested. The second time, I decided to add 3/4 t. of cayenne pepper. The heat was just subtle enough. Definitely recommend!

Maple Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
I found this recipe in an attempt to clear out my pantry before going home for Christmas break. That being said, I unfortunately did not have maple syrup, just honey. I subbed that in (with vanilla extract, of course) and they turned out amazing. The texture and taste were spot on. Wish I could have made them with maple syrup!

Green Banana Fries

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I have very picky roommates, so when they asked me what I was cooking, I just said, "Fries!" They tried them and LOVED them. They were gobbled up in seconds. No advice to improve the recipe, it's perfect!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
I made for my roommates for a study session. It was devoured in a matter of minutes. Absolutely fantastic! I served it with pita chips and it was the best support for it. I will definitely be making this again for tailgating!

Chicken and Chinese Vegetable Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
I will never buy frozen stir fry again! I added carrots and mushrooms instead of snow peas, and I added about a teaspoon of Sesame Seed Oil to the marinade (recommend!). I was very skeptical when I smelled the oyster sauce, but it really added such a great flavor to all of the ingredients!

Okra Fritters

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
This was such a big hit! I added a little bit of bacon grease. And I also precooked my onions and okra, just to soften it up a bit. My family demands that I make this again and again and again... UPDATE: I made these again last weekend with , and it was a match made in heaven.

Sweet and Spicy Pecans

Reviewed: May 28, 2010
I made these and, sadly, let them burn a little. The chili flavor was very strong, so I decided to cover them in milk chocolate. Oh my goodness, not to discredit the original, but I would recommend it! At first bite, it tastes like your regular chocolate covered pecan, but then the spice kicks in. The chocolate + chili/cayenne makes a party in the mouth.
