Stuffed Celery

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2013
I've been making this for years. Sometime when I'm feeling crazy I'll leave out the walnuts and add red pepper flakes to give it a kick. This is also very good on bagels.

Beef Mushroom Barley Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
Ok, I made this soup/stew yesterday. I followed the ingredient list almost exactly, with the following changes. 1. I used more beef, because that was what came in the package. 2. and less onion. It is wonderful! I did find the cooking time to be longer than needed. I cooked mine for 11/2 hrs. at a simmer and all my veggies and barley were cooked, I only cooked the mushrooms for 30 mins. before serving. I also had to add more liquid (31/2 cups of water) This is a delicious soup, and does get better the next day. I'll definetly make this again.

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese with Broccoli

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
Mush to say the least, The concept is good, but the paste turned into glue. I will say the taste is there, but don't walk away from it. for a slow cooker meal I'll never make it this way again. That said, I'll make it on the stovetop next time

Camp Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
All I can say is WOW !!!!!!!!! But I'll say more. This is so easy and delicious. I followed the recomandations of others and cut back on the amount of sugar and baked in a 8x8 dish. It was sweet and moist with great texture. As easy and tasty as this is I'll never have an excuse not to have cornbread when I want.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
Tasty, much better than if it was made with canned soup. I only made 1 change because I didn't have any Chedder,so I used fresh graded Pecerino Ramono instead and found it very tasty. Also I sauted my veggies in my suace pan, saving the need to wash another pan,( it worked well) I made this yesterday but waited untill today to review it because i wanted to see how the leftovers were. This makes alot so I'll get 3 meals out of this. Next time I'll ad a little cayenne to it for a little kick, but very good as written

Frank's Spicy Alabama Onion Beer Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
This is excellant !!!!! I maade it just as it is written and it turned out very flavorful. Definetly let it sit atleast overnight for the flavors to marry, because it is much better after it sits. Gave some to my brother and nephew and they both enjoyed it also. This is now my goto chili recipe

Gingered Carrot Soup

Nice flavorful soup. I minced my ginger instead of grating,so 1/4 cup wasn't too much, I also only used 3 cups chicken stock and it turned out very nice and creamy. I'll be making this again.

Garbage Plate Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Very Good. I have been to nic tahoe's only 1 time while visiting my brother, who has since moved back to this area. I found the recipe while looking for another hot dog sauce and thought I'd give this a try. Well to make a long story shorter ,he says it's very authentic You can really taste the clove and cinnamon. Now it's time to make a garbage plate
