Zucchini Bread V

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Excellent! The first zucchini bread I have ever made/had. The kids loved it too. Made the recipe as stated except for omitting the walnuts to make it school lunch friendly (no nut/peanut products allowed at school).

Very good and very different. So true that the more you eat the more addicted you become. The first few bites we were thinking it tasted a little strange but after a few minutes we were gobbling it up. Can picture having this on a warm summer's evening around a campfire. Also like that the same mix can be used as a rub for meat or on a salad. Could have the dip for appetizer and then use the same spice mix in the meal to carry the theme through the evening.

Easy Iced Coffee

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
Yum! Used the blender to crush up the ice and also added a shot of chocolate syrup. Satisfied my craving for Tim Horton's Ice Capp.

Curry Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
This salad is awesome. I did make a few changes because of what I had on hand but I can tell it's the dressing that makes it great. Had no bacon so omitted that. Had no cherries so used dried cranberries. Didn't have just sunflower seeds so I used trail mix consisting of various nuts, seeds and raisins.

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This stuff is great! Never had kettle corn before (either they don't sell it here in Canada or we've been living under a rock) but wow is it ever good. Even my husband who doesn't like popcorn wolfed down a huge bowl.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
This soup is great and healthy; even the kids ate it up and wanted seconds. As per some other reviews I added a little garlic, curry powder and brown sugar. Also, I roasted the squash first and just scooped it out of the skin. Peeling and dicing the squash seemed like too much work.
