I have been cooking since I was tall enough to reach the stove, although my definition of cooking has changed since then. I do not see microwaving food, or putting a prepared meal in the oven as cooking, nor do I see assembly as cooking. (eg: Packaged pasta, a jar of pasta sauce, and frozen meatballs.) I have been told by many that they love my cooking, at times it causes problems because I am always cooking or being begged to make cookies or pumpkin bread.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook...
(I shall put my favorite things to bake as well.)
Beef and broccoli
Fried rice
Eggdrop soup
Chicken lemon soup
Soup recipes from the top of my head
Pasta dishes
Shrimp
Scrambled omelets
perfect scrambled eggs
Wheatless peanut butter cookies
Pumpkin bread
Pumpkin trifle
Sugar cookies
Any other recipes I find that sound good.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Xmas morning waking up to cinnamon rolls.
My cooking triumphs
Making something out of nothing, being able to fix a recipe that seems destroyed, master at liquid eye measuring.
My cooking tragedies
I was given a chocolate drop cookie recipe and I decided to try it. They turned into thin greasy burnt hockey pucks. My brother-in-law decided to insult me by saying I did it wrong, when I told him to show me how it is done, he declined because I never mess up cookie recipes and he knows it.
