Shrimp Marinara

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This was awesome! I used 91-110 per pound count shrimp, so the little guys. Thawed them out a little before popping them in the crock pot with the sauce then put the whole thing over whole wheat linguine. It was soooooo good. Even my fiance, who is wary of all seafood that isn't breaded and fried, loved it. Thanks!

Fat Free Refried Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I LOVE this recipe. I've made it several times now to go in burritos and I adore it. Made exactly as instructed, but with a few pulses in the blender at the end. The chunks don't work well for burritos in my opinion, but the flavor is unbeatable! Thanks!

I'm always terrified of making mashed potatoes, but these turned out perfectly! Made exactly as directed and loved it. Thanks for making me look good!

Honey Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
Best. Cornbread. Ever. I've made it to go with chili several times. The left overs are great with soup the next day. (If there are any.) This is a new stand by recipe in my home. Thanks!

T's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
When I made these my fiance said "We should have these every day." Since then, they've made weekly appearances in my house and I've made them for my parents. They're absolutely perfect. I didn't have Italian seasoning so I made up my own with 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp basil and 1/4 tsp rosemary (for 2 potatoes). A definite stand by recipe. Thanks!

Turkey Tenderloins

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
Love this recipe! I couldn't find 1 lb packaged of turkey tenderloins so had to buy 2 lb. I was so happy I did. I froze the second and made this again 4 days later! It goes great with mashed potatoes and green beans. I did find that it took closer to half an hour for mine to cook through, but it may have been the cut.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
This turned out great! Fantastic flavor that somehow doesn't taste too much like cranberries or catalina dressing. And as always, using the crock pot meant no dry chicken. Definitely a new staple. Thanks!

Loved this! I'm always looking for interesting sides and this went great with some breaded tilapia and a side salad. Much easier and more flavorful than I expected. A definite keeper. Thanks!

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2011
This turned out perfectly. I didn't find the dough to be intimidatingly runny in the least. Wonderfully crispy crust and soft on the inside... Thanks for making me look like a pro!

Mushroom Lentil Barley Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
Absolutely delicious. I made this exactly as directed the first time and it turned out great. Now I'm having fun playing with it, like adding a cup of diced carrots or different kinds of mushrooms. It's a fantastic weeknight meal. Put everything in the crock pot the night before and keep it in the fridge until you switch it on the next morning. What could be better? Thanks so much!

Perfect Double Chocolate Peanut Candy Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
Rather than peanut pieces, I used York peppermint pieces to make a mint chocolate cookie. The chocolate cookie base is absolutely amazing. Moist and wonderfully chocolatey. You could use any candy in them and it would be fantastic I'm sure!

Lemon-Pepper Salmon II

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2011
Loved this recipe! I used a liberal amount of lemon pepper and it was perfect. The glaze soaks in so nicely under the broiler and the fish turns out flakey, tender and wonderful!

Puttanesca I

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
Delicious and simple. I loved the way the sieved tomatoes infused the olive oil with their flavor. I left out the anchovies to make it vegetarian and it did not suffer at all!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2013
This is far and away the best red velvet cupcake recipe I've ever made. The sour cream made me wary at first but it helped exponentially. I used a simple butter cream rather than the cream cheese and it really let the flavor of the cake stand out. Perfection!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
These were great! It's only me and my fiance so we can't go through a whole meatloaf. These were a perfect compromise. Two each with a side salad and it was a simple, delicious dinner. Definitely going to make these again. Thanks!
