Hey ... My name is Mercedes but you can call me Mylo( it's a abbreviation of my full name). I am a 22 year old cashier that lives in the Caribbean on an island known as Puerto Rico. I have lived from age 1-12 in New york and 12-22 in Puerto Rico, so i am bilingual. I've been working for 2 years and have recently moved out of my parents house to start my life with my hubby. we made a x-mas dinner; but i recently moved out so now i need to make my own new traditions.
My cooking triumphs
when i made a pastelon de amarillos for my hubby. It's like a open pie with ground meat and ripe platines and eggs to hold it together. It actually firmed and when i served it, it looked pro and taste delicious.I was so proud and he was so happy for me.
My cooking tragedies
Lasagna in the microwave. I tend to over stuff anything that requires a stuffing feeling. so when i started the microwave it over flowed and finally exploded. The top only cooked the rest was hard pasta. Never again and shrimp scampi with pre cooked shrimp. I told my hubby i needed shrimp for the recipe so he bought the Pre cooked shrimp. I knew what was going to happen but i did it anyway, they shrunk so small and where so hard it didn't absorb no sauce. I had to throw it away and make cheeseburgers.
