I've seen these cookies all over the internet. I used the recipe on All Recipes here. What a great dough! Rolls really nice, not sticky at all, even after adding the paste food coloring. I shaped mine into hearts by pinching the dough toward the lollipop stick then create an indent at the top to create the heart.

I posted a bunch of pictures and the recipe for these Valentine Play Dough Cookies on Amanda's Cookin'. Fun!

these are adorable! would you happen to know if they ship well or not? I was thinking of making a bouquet of them and mailing to my sweetheart (18mo granddaughter) for V day.

That's actually why I made them, but I haven't shipped them yet. I have a feeling they will ship well, but I do plan to use some bubble wrap ;)

What do they taste like? Did you add any flavorings?

Thank yo Sarah Jo! Marvel - They just taste like a sugar cookie. They are good! I didn't add any special flavorings :)

About Me
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, especially cookies and cakes. :) I love cooking too, but I like to experiment, which can occasionally mean take out! ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in the convenience food era. My parents were divorced and I was a latch key kid. There weren't a whole lot of home cooked meals in my childhood, but lots of packaged and frozen goods. I try to make dinner every night for my family, though sometimes it's take out due to sports activities, etc. I'm envious of those that have their grandmother's recipes, I don't have anything like that.
My cooking triumphs
i've created a few recipes of my own, one I even won a contest for :) I love experimenting and finding new ways to combine flavors. I feel triumphant every time I bring something to my neighbors, they always give me rave reviews!
My cooking tragedies
I try to prepare whatever I can early in the day, so that the hectic afternoon is less... well, hectic! I tend to be pretty frugal, so I'm always pantry diving. I also menu plan every week, it saves me from A) running to the store in the middle of the week and B) getting take out.
