If you consumed them daily, Starbucks could be a very expensive habit to have. Last summer, I concocted my own mocha frappucino and my daughter makes them for herself and her friends all the time now.

Now that the weather has warmed up again, we've started making these yummy homemade frappucinos more often. This is a delicious and frugal alternative to the Starbucks drive through. Try it, I know you'll love it! The convenience of making these at home is fabulous :)

Oh yes! I've started making them also. I keep cooled "leftover" coffee in small containers in the freezer to work with. I have a cuisinart handwand that makes quick work of my concoctions. For an adult version just add vodka, amaretto, coffee liquer, etc. Whatever you prefer. Great Photo!!

Hmmm, I love Frappucinos!!! I make it sometimes, but usually a lighter version than Starbucks. Your picture looks great!

Looks so good Amanda...I have a bad coffee addiction and I have been trying hard to cut down. Those coffee frappes on hot days though....hard to say no to!

About Me
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, especially cookies and cakes. :) I love cooking too, but I like to experiment, which can occasionally mean take out! ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in the convenience food era. My parents were divorced and I was a latch key kid. There weren't a whole lot of home cooked meals in my childhood, but lots of packaged and frozen goods. I try to make dinner every night for my family, though sometimes it's take out due to sports activities, etc. I'm envious of those that have their grandmother's recipes, I don't have anything like that.
My cooking triumphs
i've created a few recipes of my own, one I even won a contest for :) I love experimenting and finding new ways to combine flavors. I feel triumphant every time I bring something to my neighbors, they always give me rave reviews!
My cooking tragedies
I try to prepare whatever I can early in the day, so that the hectic afternoon is less... well, hectic! I tend to be pretty frugal, so I'm always pantry diving. I also menu plan every week, it saves me from A) running to the store in the middle of the week and B) getting take out.
