Grilled Garlic Lemon Chicken Breasts

With Memorial Day around the corner, I thought it fitting to post a fabulous recipe for the grill. I love chicken. If I could get my family to eat it every day, we would! Boneless chicken breasts are my all time favorite, and brining or marinating definitely kicks things up a notch. 

This particular marinade recipe couldn't be easier. There are very few ingredients, most of which you probably already have on hand. You only need small portions of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and some sugar, salt, and pepper. The recipe that follows uses a grilling method that works perfectly every time, but by all means, if you have a method of grilling that works well for you, stick with it! 

I hope you'll give this chicken marinade a try, it's truly one of our all time favorites. If you're still struggling with grilling the perfect meat, try this method, it works wonders. :)

That looks really good. Any thing with lemon juice is fine by me. I've been on a fish kick lately but I'll need to start marinading my meats again (when i remember to grab ziplocks at the grocery store) Happy Memorial day!

I love baking, especially cookies and cakes. :) I love cooking too, but I like to experiment, which can occasionally mean take out! ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in the convenience food era. My parents were divorced and I was a latch key kid. There weren't a whole lot of home cooked meals in my childhood, but lots of packaged and frozen goods. I try to make dinner every night for my family, though sometimes it's take out due to sports activities, etc. I'm envious of those that have their grandmother's recipes, I don't have anything like that.
My cooking triumphs
i've created a few recipes of my own, one I even won a contest for :) I love experimenting and finding new ways to combine flavors. I feel triumphant every time I bring something to my neighbors, they always give me rave reviews!
My cooking tragedies
I try to prepare whatever I can early in the day, so that the hectic afternoon is less... well, hectic! I tend to be pretty frugal, so I'm always pantry diving. I also menu plan every week, it saves me from A) running to the store in the middle of the week and B) getting take out.
