Slow Cooker Tomato Sauce
In reading the reviews for this sauce I wanted to tell the reviewer who said that this was a base sauce and to other reviewers who were modifying the sauce. This is not a Italian base sauce, each time you correct the sauce by adding other ingredients you further complicate the taste of the sauce. In otherwords, your breaking down the original sauce. This sauce as in the original recipe is a good tangy sauce that has muliple uses. The Italian base tomato sauce is plum tomatoes, with 4 cloves garlic, blend and simmer for 30 minutes. The last 10 minutes add a whole stem of fresh basil and simmer the remaining 10 minutes. Then pull the basil out of the sauce, remove from heat and let it cool. Store for furture use. Then when you need a sauce for spaghetti, or as a sauce for meat like Chicken Parmesan or stuffed shell, you seasn the sauce to the dish. Good taste sauce, I'll use it for shell and chicken parmesan.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches
Toasting the hougie does make a difference. I toast the bread with garlic butter until it is crispy. Occasionally; I'll add provolone or Swiss cheese during the toasting. This seals the bread and allows the au jus to slowly mix into the bread. I have also used the au jus as a dipping sauce only, that way the bread soaks up the au jus at the time you eat it. Either way, this is a great sandwich and a regular at my home.

Bachelor Grilled Cheese
I've been making this grilled cheese since I was in high school. Over the years when I had no time or for a quick meal I've modified it some what. I use one slice American Cheese with a slice of sugar baked ham and a slice of Montrey Jack cheese between two toasted slices of bread. Then microwave, Great Taste. The cheese melts around the toast and the ham into one comforting blend. It's a great sandwich at the office when you don't have a oven.
