Dressing for a Crowd

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Great as is. Only thing I would recommend is to make the night before you need it to save on time, and let the juices/seasonings marinade. I also cooked it alot longer, like 2 hours. This is not dressing for a CROWD but would be good for a family of 4-6. This recipe fills a 9x13 pan about 1/2 way after cooked.

Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
I didnt like this at all. I felt cooking the brown sugar to a soft crack stage gave it a slightly burnt taste. I think it would be better to have it cooked to soft ball stage would have been better

Broadway Family Easter Egg Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
This was just ok. The bread and the eggs were a great idea to use up. I really recommend getting the Rye (not white or wheat). Ours came out kind of soupy but the bread was crispy. I think next time I will make the night before, i would double the bread, add some ham and let the bread soak in the soup/butter in

Shredded Beef for Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
This makes ALOT of taco meat. Great for freezing and using at a later date. I subsituted the mexican style hot tomatoe sauce with a can of rotel and 1 cup of ChiChi's chunky salsa (Medium) I have made this twice, once I used fresh cilantro and the other time, I used the tubed cilanto. I prefered the tubed cilantor vs fresh...seems like tubed cilantro is more concentraded

Norwegian Christmas Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I cooked the bacon before as I was not sure you were suppose to do that...easy to make and tasted really good. I served this as a side to my Christmas dinner. i dont recommend this for that type of meal. This would be better as a side or condiment to hotdogs or brats (kind of had the sweet saurkraut taste and texture)..I will be making this again. THanks for the recipe

Cheesy Zucchini Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
This was just OK for us. After reading a few reviews, I decided to keep on the skin and sautee in a little butter...worked great. I also added corn and 4 eggs. This turned out tasting more like a breakfast quiche than a side dish for dinner...leftovers taste good too. I probably will not make this again.

Hot Mexican Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
I gave this a 2 stars based on the oringal recipe. I made this as original which was VERY BLAH (even with HOT Chi-Chi's Salsa) It became a 3 when I modified it as said by others.I used HOT Salsa I added 1 can of strained black beans, 1 can of corn, and 1 can of rotel. WIth those modifications, it made it taste like a cross between spinach dip and mexican dip, but the 2 really dont go together. Be sure to squeeze the water out of your spinach and then pat dry with a paper towel otherwise it could be too soupy. I will not be making this again. I feel like it would be better with NO Spinach...so Hence the entire receipe just needs alot of work.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Instead of whole tomatoes,I used 2 cans of rotel. for the sauce I also used 3 cans of tomato soup...but we like our peppers in a bed of juice. I listened to another reviewer and sprinkled the bottome with shredded cheese. I have made this with mild cheddar and again with sharp...either one is great.

I added carrots and onions to the recipe. used about 10 cups of chicken stock. skipped the potatoes I let it cook overnight. When I got up I added 2 cups of raw noodle. Turned out nice and flavorful and pretty thick. great way to use up the meat.
