Ashley's African Peanut Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2012
It was okay, but i don't think I would make it again. It makes a lot, even after I cut the recipe in half.

Kielbasa with Honey Mustard

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
I love this, but my family wasn't so keen on it. I thought the flavors were great and loved the mustard sauce. ALso, if you use turkey kielbasa you can save a bit on the fat.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Pretty good. The family liked it and I really cant go wrong with a sitrfry. I dont really eat much steak so this is something for me to chage up the pace . I do use sugar snap peas instead, just my personal preference. Ither that that, I make it just as directed.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Awesome. Great idea, pretty simple and I found this pleased all of my family. Those who are adventurous liked the idea of something different, those that are picky were happy because the flavors are familiar. All in all, an absolute winner.

Mom's Italian Beef Barley Soup

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Pretty good, just like beef stew except made with barley. I made this on a day we were hit with a snow storn so it worked out well. Just beware, it makes a ton.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
My favorite recipe I have gotten off this site. Sooooo good. The ony thing it is missing is a healthy sprinkle of garlic salt to finish off the dish. My mouth is watering just thinking about how much I love this!

Spicy Chipotle Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Delicious! Plain and simple. Followed the recipe and was not dissapointed. This is very similar to another recipe that I have for chipotle burgers but it is so much simpler! All the flavor with half the ingredients and time.

Apricot Chicken II

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Totally freaking love this recipe. The only minor change I made was to add 1/4 cup white wine to the sauce and sprinkled the chicken with Lemon Pepper seasoning before putting the sauce on top. This is one of my new favorites!

Baked Falafel

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
As this is my first time making falafel, I was not really sure what to expect. Suprisingly, this turned out really well. The only thing I was not crazy about was the falafel was a little mushy in the center, I guess I am more use to a drier (fried) type. Even with a little mushiness, the flavor was fantastic. I served this with flatbread, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and a tzatziki sauce recipe from this site and was very pleased with the results. I would absolutely recommend this recipe.

Curried Pork Chops and Cauliflower with Basmati Rice

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
I though this was great! Made it exactly as written and it turned out superb. I love curry so this was a perfect meal for me. Also loved the fact that it is healthy, but not bland. Would make it again in a heartbeat.

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
Wow, this soup is delicious! I made only minor changes such as adding 2 tablespoons of curry instead of the teaspoons, adding additional amounts of the veges and putting in an extra cup of broth (just to keep it soupy). I agree with other reviewers that the cream is not necessary; I used half and half instead and it was just superb. I think next time I will skip it altogether and save the calories. Cant wait to make this again!

Honey Hoisin Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I made this with wild rice and asparagas and it was TASTY. I really enjoyed the consistancy of the sauce and ended up pouring it on my asparagas too. I did use fish sause instead of oyster sauce (although I dont really think it makes any difference) and added a touch of sriracha too. will definately make it again.

Enchilada Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
I was skeptical of this recipe but though it was a creative twist, so glad I tried it because it was great. I followed others suggestions and after the meatballs were cooked through simmered them in just enchilada sauce, no tomato sauce. I served this over cilantro and tomato rice. Delicious!

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Yum, yum yum. I loved this. Super easy and even my boyfriend who hates any kind of chowder ate it up. I added some extra cumin, the smoky flavor adds additional depth, and next time will add an extra can of the chilies.

Savory Sea Scallops and Angel Hair Pasta

Wow. I was so disappointed in this recipe. I followed it exactly and thought it came out bland and tasteless (even after doubling the garlic). I also have a ton leftover.

Moroccan Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
I gave this four starts due to its potential. I believe it needs salt and more curry powder added. I also would double the amount of raisins because I love the sweetness of them in this stew. The chickpeas were an excellent addition to this dish and really brought it together. I would make again, but be prepared to do some minor doctoring.

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
These were a hit at the superbowl party I made them for. I like that it is easy to make seperate batches of filling depending on how spicy your guests like it. I seperated the filling into two bowls and added ALL the jalapeno seeds to one bowl and kept the other one seedless. This way all the guests could eat them.
