Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2015
I guess it depends on the size breasts you use, but I only needed 1 and 1/2 cups panko. I fried the chicken in about 1/3 cup of olive oil. Shredded mozzerella would melt a lot better, but the fresh mozzerella has a great mild taste. Only gave 4 stars because the amounts seem off. Taste was a five.

Grilled Mongolian Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2015
The marinade was really good, a unique flavor. I really liked the sauce as well but my husband didn't care for it too much. The sauce makes way more than you would need for 2 large pork chops. I probably could have made 1/4 of it and still had some leftover. Really easy to make though, just takes some patience at the grill.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2015
5 stars with a few modifications. I used dijon mustard instead of yellow. I omitted the corn syrup like many others had recommended. I only used about 3/4 cup shredded cheese. Really simple to make. My husband grunted "Mmmm, this is good!"

Brandied Shrimp with Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2015
I used half the amount of butter and a little extra parmesan. I also put the shrimp in at the end so they wouldn't be overcooked and they were done perfectly!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2015
I dredged the chicken in flour first before frying. Added sauteed peppers and onions at the end. Delicious!

Boneless Garlic and Rosemary Rubbed Prime Rib with Red Wine Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2014
the first time I made the sauce, I thought it was too similar in taste. The next time I used beef broth instead of chicken broth, omitted the mustard, and added 2 Tbsp red plum jam. The salty/sweet was a nice contrast.

Nana's Southern Coleslaw

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2014
I'm giving the recipe 4 stars instead of 5 only because I started with 1/4 cup sugar and that is still a little too sweet for me. I used plain greek yogurt instead of buttermilk. I used 16 ounces freshly cut cabbage. Thanks for the recipe! Will use from now on.

I only had time to marinate these for 5 hours, but they still turned out great. Very tasty and very simple.

Vegan Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: May 22, 2014
I loved this recipe, and the leftovers were just as good. I did substitute 1 cup cooked lentils for 1 can of the black beans and it was a nice addition.

5 stars if you add some shredded cheddar cheese over the cream cheese!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2014
I used the ingredients as listed except I omitted the salt/pepper and used only half the butter. It turned out wonderful. I'm not sure how this could be considered bland. I also used the amount of mushrooms as listed and was not disappointed. Thanks for the great recipe!

Mexican Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
I made this last night without changing anything. My husband and I both thought it was fantastic, not too hot in my opinion and full of flavor! I used it in burritos with cilantro lime rice, sour cream and avocados. Yum. It tasted like something I got from the restaurant Chipotle. This is definitely a keeper recipe.

The only change I made was to use light mayo and it was still fantastic! I will never use another chicken salad recipe:)

Oven-Roasted Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2013
I only gave it four stars due to the amount of salt. I used a half teaspoon which was still a bit salty. Otherwise, this was the best asparagus I have ever cooked and the only way I will use from now on!

Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
Really good comfort food. I did add a cup of peas, and I used light mayo which worked just fine. Honestly, I don't understand the review that says how bad this is, unless you just don't like tuna!
