Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Very yummy. As usual, it took me longer to prepare than the recipe says, but that doesn't bother me (anymore). These tasted amazing. And with a little cream cheese frosting...

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
BEst brownies I have ever eaten! Only there was too much vanilla. So the subsequent times I have used progressively less and less in the icing. I think I am down to about 1/2 of what it calls for. Oh and I added ~4 t. water to the icing as well.

Whoopie Pies

The chocolate part wasn't as fudgy as I remember, and the frosting was too whipped and fluffy, for lack of a better term.

Easy Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I didn't have all the right ingredients or equipment for this quiche, but I tried it anyway. Here's what I learned: it is absolutely imperative that you use a ten inch quiche pan. I tried using an eight inch cake pan and it overflowed everywhere. Also grated cheddar cheese gets really greasy when you cook it...at least cheap cheddar cheese does. But it still tasted great! So with my lessons learned I will deffo be making this quiche again.

German Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
For a PERFECT cake at ~5000 feet make these altitude adjustments in the cake batter: 1 3/4 c. plus 1 T white sugar, 1 c. plus 4 T buttermilk, 7/8 t. baking soda. I left the frosting recipe as-is. I read all the reviews as well and absolutely agree that you ought to: 1. Whip the butter first, THEN add sugar and blend 2. Double the frosting recipe and 3. Toast the coconuts and pecans. It was a little crumbly but a total hit (especially for my 1st cake!) Speaking of, I think they need to change the prep time. This took me and embarrassing 7(!!) hours to make...but EXACTLY 30 min to bake My friends laughed at me...til they took a bite!
