About this Cook
There's little else I love more in life than feeding people....I don't like making many dishes the exact same way twice(usually I can't because I'm a cook who like to open her cupboard & "wing it") Hearing that something I've made is delicious is almost impossible to top in my book...
My favorite things to cook
chicken 1000+ ways....stir-fry,grilled,baked,slow cooked....anything sweet & savory as well....
My favorite family cooking traditions
Many dishes I had growing up were made the same way time & again (& I LOVED them) but now, w/a family of my own, I'm enjoying experimenting w/some of these "classic" dishes(for instance, see my boiled dinner casserole in my recipe box!!!!!!!)
My cooking triumphs
After throwing a party for my new(at the time) b-friends family, I was asked if I would cater an upcoming b-day celebration.....The 1st time a recipe of mine got 5 stars(on this site!!!!)

Sweet-n-Sour Kielbasa
PLEASE READ: I submitted this recipe, so perhaps l shouldn't rate it, esp because I just noticed that the amount (posted) of red pepp flakes SHOULD be 1 TEAS, NOT 1 TBLS! I like things w/a kick, but this is a recipe I serve to crowds (mult serv made) & not everyone likes things spicy....1 tsp is enough to give it a kick, w/out putting more sensitive pallets off....PLease try..Also, I've done s&s w/grape jelly before, & I feel the currant jelly makes a (good) difference...Lastly, my supermarket sells a variety of "grades" of kielbasa....Hillshire Farms is my (preferred) choice...Not super expensive, & the "really cheap stuff" just doesn't come out as well (& I'm always looking for a way to save a buck!)

Sherry Apple Pork Chops
Awesome! Besides adding a little extra sherry towards the end w/cornstarch, I might have been a little stingy w/the brn sugar since i was eyeballing it, but that's ok since i was hoping for an even balance w/sweet & savory...This was a kick(ur taste)buds concept/recipe! Thanks for a great idea!

Apple Walnut Cake
Wonderful! I too had to finagle the cake out of the pan, but it came out, eventually, & tasted heavenly! Instead of slices, I did a large chop with the apples, & for fun, I put a cider glaze over the top (juice or cider, brn sug, couple pats of butter, reduced to syrup)....The cake would have been terrific without, & next time, I won't bother that extra step...Thanks so much!
