Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
A good alternative to regular brownies. I added extra cocoa, espresso powder, and chopped bittersweet chocolate (both in the batter and sprinkled on top). I also took the brownies out a few minutes early, but will probably leave them in the full time, next time around.

Pull-Apart Hot Cross Buns

Wonderful recipe -- it has never failed me! I usually add more dried fruit -- I like currants, citron, candied cherries, etc. I've used this dough to make cinnamon rolls & they turned out fantastic! Thank you!

Easiest, Most Delicious Meringue Buttercream

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Cut sugar to 1 1/2 C., and butter to 2 cups, and it was perfect! I love this frosting... (4 stars just because I cut the sugar/butter).

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
I'm sure these will taste great, but I just put it into the crock-pot & it looks like soup. I thought I followed the recipe to a T, but I must have done something wrong...

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Amazingly good! I had my doubts... with the canned dough and pop, but Shazam! It was amazing. I used ginger ale, as we didn't have any Mt. Dew. I also used half the butter and sugar. We will have this again. I'd actually serve it to company.

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
Lovely! Very moist, with a perfect crust. I sprinkled sugar and cinnamon in the buttered pan, dropped a little jam on top of the filling, and reduced the oven temp to 345 for the last 20ish minutes (I have a dark non-stick bundt). Will make again.

French Toast II

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
Yum! Great recipe. Used Challah & it was divine. Added some cardamom & vanilla too. French toast recipes aren't really difficult... it's eggs and milk.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Easy and delicious! Followed the recipe, but used currants instead of nuts for the filling. Baked some the night I made the dough & then stuck the rest in the fridge for the next morning (cooked up just as well after being in the fridge all night). Will make this again, soon.
