About this Cook
Married with 3 kids (6 year old son, 4 year old daughter, 7 month old son). My kids love to help me cook and I love their help (I also found that it's a great way to get my daughter to try foods - "if you help me cook it, you have to try it"). I'm just a fat guy who likes to cook!
My favorite things to cook
Good question - we don't like seafood...other than that, we like comfort food but enjoy pasta...anything that'll stick to your ribs. If it's good, we're interested. If it's vegetarian, it's not going to be any good. And bacon...but I just assumed that that was a given.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Interesting. Growing up, we never had any cooking traditions. Now, we find new recipes on the weekends to try. I guess the only tradition is finding new recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Our cookbook. We have "borrowed", adjusted and tried a ton of recipes. To keep them in one place, we've started making our own cookbook. I'm really proud of it - hopefully, someday, someone will want a copy of this book.
My cooking tragedies
We've thrown out more recipes / items than we've kept / cooked...we get excited about trying something new...sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. The "tragedies" only make us appreciate the good recipes that much more - to call these "tragedies" would not be right.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken
Solid recipe. We took the advice of others and coated the chicken in flour before cooking. Good flavor, fairly quick & easy to make...I just don't see us making this dish again - it's just something we would normally make...but worth trying!

Cube Steak Parmesan
We had some cube steak in the freezer and didn't want to make country fried steak (ok, my wife didn't want that) and we stumbled upon this recipe. The steak was amazing - we both had very low expectations but we absolutely loved this dish. I was nervous about the sauce (based on other reviews) but it was a very nice red sauce (we also doubled the flour mixture). Very quick, very good meal!

Cinnamon Sweet Potato Chips
Most were burnt after only 10 minutes yet were still soggy / not crunchy...decent taste but not worth it
