About this Cook
I'm currently a Junior in college attending Oakland University for a General Management degree. I want to go to culinary school when I get my business degree. It's my dream to own my own restaurant someday. I've been cooking since I was 7. I'm 19 now and everything I learned I taught myself. I didn't have parents who were great cooks, I'm better than my mom, so that's why I taught myself.
My favorite things to cook
Personally I love cooking all food. I'm very passionate when it comes to my cooking. Asian food and grilling though are my all time favorites. I love to change up recipes with my own little seasoning blends I've created.
My cooking triumphs
When I was 7 years old I made my very own grilled cheese sandwich and chicken soup to go with it for lunch. Ever since then I've loved cooking and devote my life to it. I love creating new dishes, hence the reason I love this site. My all time triumphs to date though would have to be the general tso's chicken i made, pulled pork egg rolls, wonton soup, egg drop soup, and chicken fried rice. Yes it's all chinese food, except the egg rolls are a southern/Chinese mix, since I love Chinese food. So when I made Chinese food that tasted like it came from a restaurant I was extremely proud of myself.
My cooking tragedies
Unfortunately though I suck altogether in one area of the kitchen. Baking. It's my arch nemesis. I've burned cookies (don't ask how I manage that one), ruined pie crusts, dough is it's own problem and so on. My worst moment though just happened recently while I tried to work on my baking skills. I attempted to make flour tortillas and pita bread. Long story short, I went through 5 pounds of flour and only ended up with 3 decent tortillas and 8 very small non fluffy pita pockets. Epic fail.

One-Egg Egg Drop Soup
i didn't use the tapioca flour, used cornstarch instead, but it wuz still delicious. tasted just like the restaurant. i also used a drop or two of yellow food coloring to make it a little bit brighter.
