Mom's Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2014
Good, the kids loved them. I followed the recipe exactly. I don't understand why people say it's sticky the dough because it was not all all I used the exact amount of flour needed as recipe called for. I actually didn't need any extra flour for kneading. The only thing I did as it was baking I brushed melted butter through the cooking process twice.

I did not care for this recipe. I thought it had a cake like consistency, not a what a yeast roll should be.

I used 3 large thick chicken breasts cut into stips then in half. I Double the recipe becuase 1 cup of flour is not enough to double coat. Use FRANKS HOT SAUCE .. hmmmm YUM!

Chocolate Rum Balls I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Ok.. I made these today.. and tasted them too! lol VERY EASY to make.. you CAN NOT MESS UP! the box of wafers only makes 2 1/2 cups crushed so I scaled the recipe to 37 balls.. on the servings.. it depends on how big of a ball you do is how many you will get out of a batch.. I used a melon ball scoup it was perfect.. pop one in your mouth! :) I think I am going to make these with 1/2 raisins and 1/2 walnuts for a different taste for the raisin lovers! GREAT RECIPE! for those that said it was sticky etc.. .you must measure perfectly!

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
YUMMY!!! I did it in the bread machine then when the dough cycle was done I put them in muffin tins and let them rise.. brushed with butter..then baked.. I actually cut the servings down to 12 and it gave me the correct amount of ingredients needed. I have a family of 4.. The rolls were very very good! will make them again and again! thanks

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
VERY GOOD!! I did not do anything in my bread machine I did it the old fashion way.. water, yeast, sugar in a bowl let set about 10 min. then added flour and salt mixed together to form ball then kneaded it 15 times or so.. put in greased bowl let rise and then I punched down like recipe said. then put into loafs and let rise again. I made three mini loaf's out of one batch and then another batch 1 large french loaf and made garlic bread with that.. I got the so many compliments from the bread everyone loved it made into garlic bread!

VERY GOOD!!! I did Not change the recipe one bit!! ONE thing ALWAYS USE FRANKS HOT SAUCE its the best! .. as for the review about the ranch dressing and buffalo ny.. I live in NY and I have never heard of using Mozz Cheese! in Chicken wing dip! I have to agree with using the ranch dressing ( I dont like ranch or bleu cheese but I always used ranch)

Bacon and Parmesan Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
Not, too bad... I do hate when people don't make the recipe the way it's written but I had to change it up a notch.. for a lb of pasta I did 1/2 lb bacon... NO Olive oil. 2 garlic cloves grated 1 small onion, pepper, a large tomato, about a cup of parm cheese. I cooked the bacon, then at almost crisp stage I added the onion, cooked a few, then added the tomato... garlic. and 1/4 tsp or so of pepper. Once all cooked put it on all pasta, added all the pan drippings as well. there was not a ton ton of bacon grease so I did NOT drain it. add all the cheese and a pinch of salt and a dash more of pepper.. I thought it had great flavor and I am picky, I dont like tomato or onions but tried something new..It def needs more then what the main recipe calls for. My husband said it was good but needed some peas in it and serve it as a cold side dish.
