Quick Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
I have made this a few times already and everyone loved it! I get a lot of requests for this cake. I do mix the cake according to package directions (with oil and water). I bake them in mini bundt pans and top each one with melted chocolate and fresh whipped cream.

Oma's Cottage Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I cant believe how good this cheesecake was!! I didnt add the milk or lemon juice and doubled the vanilla. Put small batches in the food processor until it was very smooth and creamy. Baked in a spring form pan. This was absolutely delicious!!!! You cant even tell its cottage cheese!! (I did use non fat and it didnt make a difference!) I didnt even tell my husband it was made out of cottage cheese until he was done eating it and he couldnt even tell the difference! I did top with blueberry sauce from this site and some fresh whipped cream. Everyone thought it was from a bakery! Thanks for the great recipe!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
These was delicious!!! I have made it twice already with excellent reviews from my family and in-laws. I added a splash of white wine to the sauce and extra garlic. I also sauteed some more garlic in oil and cooked cubed chicken seasoned w/some salt, pepper and onion powder. When the chicken was just about done cooking I added the spinach and sauteed for about a minute. This gave it a lot more flavor then just adding plain cooked chicken. I mixed the ricotta with an egg and some more seasonings (grated Parmesan, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper). I then layered sauce, noodles, ricotta mix and chicken/spinach mix then more sauce and so on.... I will definitely be making this again! Even my very picky 2 year old (who does not eat meat or spinach) ate it!! The next time I make this I will double the sauce and use the extra to make pizza! yum!!!

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
These were very good! I did use oil instead of the butter. I also added 1/4 cup more pumpkin and 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce. Instead of all the different spices I used 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice and 1 tsp. cinnamon. They came out very moist with lots of flavor! I did have one problem with the frosting. I made as directed but it was very runny so I added another cup of sugar which didnt seem to help much. The frosting will not stay on my cupcakes! Maybe I did something wrong? Either way these were delicious and I will definitely be making them again. Maybe next time with a different frosting recipe.

Cream Cheese Cut-Outs II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
These were awesome cookies! They came out perfect! It was my first time rolling out cookies and they were very easy to make. I used the Sugar Cookie Glaze by Cyndi from this site and the 2 together were perfect! Not too sweet and just the right amount of flavor. I stored them in a air tight container and they stayed soft and chewy. I will definitely be using this recipe again!
