Cranberry Pecan Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
These were great. Nice mixture with the cranberries, pecans, and coconut. The orange rind is a nice touch also.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Wonderful! I did add a bit of honey and some garlic to the marinade. Don't need too much honey. I also made a bed of onions for the roast and they were very tasty.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
"Oh my"! Those were the first words. These are wonderful and definitely a velvet texture. I decreased the flour and sugar, by just a bit, but otherwise followed as written. Used about 3-3/4 cup powdered sugar.

Cindy's Awesome Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
This soup is delightful! Liked everything about it. The veggies and bacon are a wonderful part of the soup. It is the perfect creaminess. I read a lot of the reviews, including Cindy's, and did the following: Added 2 stalks of celery, 1 extra can of clams, and used 2 bottles of clam juice to cook the potatoes, celery, and carrots in. Thanks for sharing, Cindy!

Raspberry Ribbons

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
So delicious! I make as directed, but might consider making them into individual cookies. Everyone loves them. Use parchment paper to bake them on and put the dough down and mold to size as directed in the recipe.

The Best Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
These are wonderful. I was a bit daring and made a triple batch. So glad I did. I would, however, next time reduce the brown sugar, by a bit. I cooked my meatballs in the oven at 400 for about 18 minutes and then added them to the sauce to simmer. We had them with white rice and steamed veggies. A wonderful dinner.

Slow Cooker Beef Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Really enjoyed this soup. I added a can of diced tomatoes. Beware, 1 tsp of pepper leaves it quite spicy. A bit much for my husband. Next time I will half that. Otherwise, this is a great recipe.

This was a quick and delicious treat. It went over well at a holiday tea at work. Not sure if it was necessary, but I used foil and sprayed it.

These are great. The only difference I made is that my recipe calls for 1-1/3 cup flour. Easy and always enjoyed by all.

Cranberry Almond Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
This was my first attempt at bark and it is very tasty! I didn't use quite all the dried cranberries or almonds, but that is just preference. I plan to make a number of batches of this to use as gifts. Thanks, Linda for sharing.

Rugelach III

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
These are great. They do require some work, but go together very nice. Do cook for 19-20 minutes and parchment paper will be your friend with this one. The preserves melt out and would be a mess on a pan.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
Can you say "comfort food" at its finest? I initially made this thinking it was something my husband would enjoy, but I enjoyed it every bit as much as him. Followed the recipe and served it with mashed potatoes. Next time I may double the sauce. Yum!
