Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
great cookie...I added a couple of things just to try it and it got good reviews. I added about 1/3 cup of peanut butter and about 1 cup of chocolate chips....I will be adding more peanut butter next time as this was the request. We all loved the cake like consistency. Thank you!

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
I have no doubt that this is great as written but I did make some changes. I had made a similar version of this for years and I lost the recipe so this was a great refresher of that. I added 1 can of diced tomatoes with its juice, 1/2 of a green pepper diced and sauteed with the onions and approx. 1/3 cup of chili powder. I also didn't add the cinnamon and I used only 2 1/2 cups of broth. Everyone loved it and I will be making this again very soon!

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
This was great! I have been making a version of this for some time and not having to pound out the meat is such a time saver.....I will be cooking this more often now. I did use 1/2 cup of white wine and a full cup of chicken broth because I used 4 chicken breasts...and I did use a less amount of lemon per other reviewers since I was feeding it to some pickier palates. I actually placed the chicken back in the pan with the sauce and it thickened up nicely and coated the chicken perfectly. I think I might take other reviewers advice and add some mushrooms next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
AMAZING!!!!! These are so good and they really do taste like the ones at the mall! I did pretzel shapes and sticks and they all came out wonderful. I have a feeling I will be making these again tomorrow because the family gobbled them up quickly. Thanks for a great recipe.

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
This was great, although I did take the advice of other reviewers and add another teaspoon of cinnamon 1 tspn of nutmeg. It still could use a little more of something even though it was very tastey and definately a very moist cake. I think next time I might try some more nutmeg and/or some pumpkin pie spice or allspice. Definately a great cake but who knows it might be just a bit better. Thanks for the recipe.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
WOW! This is it! Made this with the pumpkin sheet cake recipe on this site and it was a big hit. I may be a little bias because I don't care for buttercream frosting but this is truely amazing! It made a little bit more than needed but the kids enjoy it on a graham cracker later anyways so no worries there. Thanks for the great recipe.

Garlic Croutons

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
WOW! I am not the biggest crouton lover but these are fantastic! I love them just the way they are but I can definately see playing around with them....my family is going to love them with the White bean 'n' Ham soup (From this site that I made for tonight as well) That is if they make it that long. Thanks for the recipe!

Apple Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
Wow...this was great! I used apricot preserves because it was what I had and it was wonderful. The only advice I would give others is to make sure to salt and pepper to your taste. This really felt like a fancy meal and it's just an everyday Thursday. I will definately be making this again! Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
The family loved it! I did take the advice of several of the other reviewers. I definate agree that 4 hours would be too much, I served it at 3 hours and it was melt in you mouth tender. I had about 1 1/2 lbs of skirt steak but I used the measurements for the 1 lb of meat. I also used a little less than 1/2 cup of hoison and low sodium soy sauce. No one thought it was too salty at all. I also included some broccoli in the last 15 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe and for everyone's reviews. I will definately be making this one again.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
Great soup but definately better the next day! I didn't have any velveeta on hand but I used about 4 cups of grated cheddar and it was wonderful. I also didn't cut up the broccoli too small and the family enjoyed the texture. I think I will try to processed cheese next time just to see the difference. I will definately make this again.....and again...and again.

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
I have made this several times and it is a huge hit! This is the perfect recipe for people that love the topping almost more than the apples. I have added some cinnamon to the apple mixture because the apples can get a little lost in there but it is definately a great recipe that gets requested often. Thanks for posting!

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
*UPDATE* I USED CARMEL TOPPING INSTEAD BECAUSE THE BDAY GIRL LOVES CARMEL AND IT TURNED OUT GREAT! IT WAS A NICE VARIATION....NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL BUT STILL GREAT, TRY IT IF YOU LIKE CARMEL! This is the best home made frosting I have ever had!.....I am not a buttercream frosting lover...in fact I usually scrape it off but I couldn't get enough of this one and neither could the people that I made it for. This will definately be the go to frosting recipe for me. Thanks!

Garlic and Ranch Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
I read a lot of the reviews and they really helped! I used 1/2 the amount of Worchestshire sauce, left out the egg and added 1/3 cup bread crumbs (italian flavored becuase it's what I had) and about a tablespoon of dried onions. The family all loved it and requested it to be made again....that's definatley a winner in my book!
