Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2013
Fantastic! I triple, or even quadruple, the recipe because we eat a lot of tacos. Sometimes I add ancho chili powder if I have it.

Easy, tasty, and dries perfectly stiff, yet not too crunchy.

Authentic Cincinnati Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I loved this recipe. I have never had Skyline's chili, so I can't compare, but this is certainly a keeper!! It has such depth of flavor. I can't wait for fall when I can comfortably eat this again (summertime and 100+ degrees!).

Indian Chapati Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
My first time making chapati and this was a simple and delicious recipe! I will be making this more often. I didn't have olive oil and used canola. I know the olive oil will make it even better! I added crushed coriander seed & a pinch of sugar. I used a cast iron skillet on medium high and ever single one turned out beautifully.

Honey Syrup

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
This is a simple syrup, but very tasty. I made this to drizzle over slices of angel food cake. I used a mild Acacia honey and added a small splash of fresh orange juice in addition to the lemon. While off the heat, I added a few drops of vanilla.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
I originally gave this 2 stars and a bad review. I tasted a piece of crust that had fallen off after baking and it was awful. After eating both the crust & filling together, I have concluded that this IS a suitable crust and very tasty. I still do not like the taste of the browned edges, but the crust under the filling is very, very good. I still prefer an all butter crust, but this is a good recipe to go to if you don't have any butter.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Great flavor. It is a bit salty, but if you top potatoes or noodles, it helps. I also like salty things, though.

Peach Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This is a good, moist bread. It didn't have intense peach flavor, but over all, it's a yummy breakfast bread. Will be making it again and tweaking it to intensify peach flavor.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2013
I love this recipe. I add vanilla & chocolate chips, but otherwise, I keep it the same. I have been known to run out of buttermilk, so I add vinegar to milk and it still turns out fantastic. It is on the sweet side, but it's tasty and has just enough banana flavor for a wonderful breakfast treat with coffee.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2013
Absolutely delicious. Creamy and not too sweet. Mine did crack a little, even following the directions exactly, but I was adding a cherry topping anyway, so it didn't matter. It's a keeper for sure!

Easy and so yummy!! I think this tasted better than the pricey muffins you can get in the cafes. I made the recipe exactly, with the addition of some lemon zest.

This is a great & simple recipe. I've made it with peeled apples, unpeeled, and various apple varieties, as well as with dark brown sugar. Every variation, plus the original recipe, have been perfectly delicious.

Decadent Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
This is a great recipe. I used chocolate chips instead of raisins and made it into a bundt cake. I altered nothing else. I did make a drizzle out of melted Hershey Kisses (Pumpkin Spice & Caramel Apple flavors). My kids ate two slices each!
