Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
This was very good and extremely easy!! I made this recipe for my anniversary dinner and served it in martini glasses. It look beautiful! The only changes I made was omitting the red food coloring, using fresh berries, and I substituted the almond flavored tequila for the orange liqueur, because it was what I had on hand. Also, I used white chocolate chips because my grocery store did not carry any bars. It worked just fine and according to another recipe, 6oz of the chocolate equals 1 cup of chips. I didn't find it hard to strain the seeds from the berries, I just used a fine wire mesh sieve, and worked the sauce through with a spoon. This recipe made four large servings for me. I will definitely make this again!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
This soup is excellent!!! So yummy, this is exactly what I was looking for when searching for a replacement for the soup I used to get at Sizzler's. After surgery and radiation to the mouth, my husband loved this yummy soup, we even blended it to make it extra smooth. I have made it just as the recipe directs, and have also added an extra package of broccoli for extra veggies. Great both ways!!! This is a keeper!!!

Fried Zucchini

This recipe didn't work at all for me. I ended up with some greasy zuchinni, minus the golden breading. When I used the remaining cornmeal/flour mixture on egg washed zuchinni, it worked much better, but I didn't care for the texture of the cornmeal. I would stick with the traditional flour, egg wash, flour method.

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2003
Wonderful pie! Was trying hard to duplicate a favorite treat from a local sandwich shop, and this one is it. I did follow the suggestions of others and used 1 box of vanilla pudding and 1 box of banana pudding. Also, I made two layers of bananas seperated by a layer of the pudding, and topped with additional pudding. Not being a fan of frozen whipped topping, I substituted with whipped heavy whipping cream, very slightly sweetened. This recipes a keeper!

Key Lime Pie VIII

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2003
Great recipe!! Came out just like the one at a famous resturant. Definately a keeper. I followed some of the suggestions and did substitute whipped heavy whipping cream for the whipped topping as I am not a fan of the frozen type. I used bottled lime juice and next time would reduce the amount slightly, and also tinted the pie a pale green shade. Make sure to chill well so the pie keeps its form. I was in a hurry and didn't have well formed pie slices.
