These a really good! We are eating healthy and I substituted sucanat in for the sugar. I also did not use shortening and just used 1.5 butter sticks total. Very good recipe!

Grilled Chicken Panini

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
These are excellent! My husband and make these for lunches sometimes, better than McCallisters! I too used my George Foreman grill. I always add parmesan cheese too. And just since I like things from scratch I usually used fresh chicken, chop it up, and cook it in the skillet.

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
These are EXCELLENT! I make homemade bread all the time and this is my husband's favorite. I like to make one big loaf instead of cutting them into two. This way the slices are bigger. I also used half whole wheat last time and it turned out just as good. Top this with homemade garlic butter!

I LOVEEEE this potato salad. I normally won't eat potato salad but this one is lovely. My whole family (women who have been making it for years) loved this recipe.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
I make these one of twice every couple of week just for 2. This recipe is authentic and the taste can't be beat! These freeze very very well (just put wax paper between each pancake, and then warm them up in the microwave). I often add blueberries.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
Very good and easy! Made this in the crockpot with about 6 different kinds of apples (I more than doubled the recipe) and it didn't last long in my house! The key is to use different types of apples for better depth of flavor. Much much better than store bought.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I was really disappointed in this dip because of the great reviews. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't anything special for us. I probably won't make it again.

This is so neat! My husband has an intestinal disease, so we make our own butter alot. So cool how it works. We enjoy making it together and it tastes so fresh! Several of my friends are making it now too!

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Wow! These are seriously the best muffins I make. I make them healthier by using all whole wheat flour, sucanat instead of sugar (Sucanat is very nutritious...FYI sucanat is sugar BEFORE they process it, therefore it has tons of good stuff for our bodies!), all applesauce instead of oil and apple butter, leave out the walnuts (we just prefer no nuts in our muffins), and 2 whole eggs (we use brown eggs with lots of omega3s). Try these!!! I took them to a women's brunch one weekend and got rave reviews. My husband's family loves them too!

Toasted Breadcrumbs

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This recipe works great for making breadcrumbs. When I get done processing them, I add salt, pepper, italian seasoning, garlic powder, basil, oregano, and parsley to make Italian breadcrumbs. I never buy crumbs from the store anymore, and have been making these for about a year. Use these to bread anything, but my favorite is chicken parmesan!!

Peppy's Pita Bread

Great recipe! These were pretty flat when I put them in the oven and they plumped up just like restaurants! We make these healthier sometimes and use whole wheat. Then we eat them with honey or agave! Yum!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I am giving this 4 stars because it was wayyyyy too sweet for this Texas girl. We like buttery cornbread in our neck of the woods. I still make this recipe however and only add 2-3 T of sucanat.
