Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
We really enjoy this soup and I make it quite often. It's quite healthy and light, which is what we are all striving for!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I grew up eating my mama's corn casserole and this just wasn't quite as good. It wasn't as creamy as I like. It was a good solid recipe, just needs a little tweaking for me.

Stewed Cabbage

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This was good to me, but my husband wasn't lovin it. If you like cabbage, I think you'll like this though. I found that it didn't taste near as good the next day. For the summer time, however, this is a good healthy dish to go to.

Angel Hair with Feta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Pretty dang good! I was weary of the flavor combo, but it pulled through! Me and my husband really enjoyed it.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I followed this recipe to a T. It was good lasagna, but I couldn't call it the world's best. I used double the amount of ricotta because 1 container just wasn't near enough to cover the layers adequately.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
My husband loved it, and I didnt. I'm not too big on turkey though. It was perfect how the cheese oozes out like other reviewers mentioned. I also added BBQ sauce to the top. I'll probably make it again.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I would put my money on this pizza recipe over any homemade one! Be aware, this makes a veryyy thick pizza. Last time I made it, I took about 1/4 of the dough out for a thinner crust. Next time I may even half it. Also, add italian seasoning to the mixture before kneading it for extra flavor!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. It was good, but could've been more flavorful. I'll add much more seasoning next time.

I've been making this for a long time before I saw this recipe. It's absolutely delicious! Use homemade Italian breadcrumbs for amazing flavor!!!

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I wanted a good mexican casserole that was different from the same ole casseroles I've had for years, and this one delivered! I loved it, but my husband wasn't too keen on it. He's picky sometimes though! =) Flavor aside, its much better for you than most mexican casseroles I see!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This was a pretty good chicken recipe. Easy to do for a weeknight. It wasn't the best flavor we've ever had, but it was good enough. I'll probablyy make it again.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Idk...I was so excited about this dish, followed it to a T, and was left disappointed. The flavor lacked for me, and I added quite a bit of extra seasoning!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I am giving this 4 stars because it was wayyyyy too sweet for this Texas girl. We like buttery cornbread in our neck of the woods. I still make this recipe however and only add 2-3 T of sucanat.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Great recipe! These were pretty flat when I put them in the oven and they plumped up just like restaurants! We make these healthier sometimes and use whole wheat. Then we eat them with honey or agave! Yum!

Toasted Breadcrumbs

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This recipe works great for making breadcrumbs. When I get done processing them, I add salt, pepper, italian seasoning, garlic powder, basil, oregano, and parsley to make Italian breadcrumbs. I never buy crumbs from the store anymore, and have been making these for about a year. Use these to bread anything, but my favorite is chicken parmesan!!

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Wow! These are seriously the best muffins I make. I make them healthier by using all whole wheat flour, sucanat instead of sugar (Sucanat is very nutritious...FYI sucanat is sugar BEFORE they process it, therefore it has tons of good stuff for our bodies!), all applesauce instead of oil and apple butter, leave out the walnuts (we just prefer no nuts in our muffins), and 2 whole eggs (we use brown eggs with lots of omega3s). Try these!!! I took them to a women's brunch one weekend and got rave reviews. My husband's family loves them too!

Homemade Butter

This is so neat! My husband has an intestinal disease, so we make our own butter alot. So cool how it works. We enjoy making it together and it tastes so fresh! Several of my friends are making it now too!
