Golden Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
these were just okay. i was looking for a light, moist cookie. they are moist out of the oven but after they cool, they lose it and they seem to lose a bit of flavor. also, after they cooled on the sheet they stuck to the sheet so the next batch i used cooking spray and it worked a bit better. i also added almond extract instead of vanilla and that seemed to help the flavor a lot. overall, these were okay, not what i was expecting.

Eggnog Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
i had to add a lot of spices to give it flavor. i used pumpkin spice eggnog, add 3/4 tsp nutmeg, sprinkled pupkin pie spice and all spice, 1 tsp vanilla. i also add spices to the frosting, i don't like the overly sweet taste of powder sugar so i added all spice, cloves, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie spice. it's an okay recipe.....not a favorite but i will probably make again.

Waikiki Meatballs

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
I think this was pretty good, but i think the sauce was too sweet. it needs less sugar. also, the sauce does need to be doubled to make enough for the meatballs. i would suggest adding more seasonings to the meatballs. mine tasted more like meatloaf than meatballs. next time i will add more ginger, maybe a little cumin and parlsey.

Rye Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
I wanted to try a new biscuit recipe so I thought I'd give this a whirl. I loved it. I think it needs a little more flour though to make it a bit flakier, but the flavor is very good! I will definatley be making this again!

Cheesy Sausage Loaf

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I loved this!!! I made a few changes. One was accidental...i misread the teaspoons on the butter and addded 4 tablespoons instead. i loved how the bread tasted. i'm glad i made that mistake =)I added half a green pepper (chopped) and 5 green onions (chopped). I used monteray jack and swiss cheese. I sauted the onions and peppers with the sausage. When I rolled the dough out, i put the sausage on first, then the cheese (i mixed the garlic and peper with the cheese). I loved it!! definately will be making this again. you can add a lot of things to your taste, mushrooms, different peppers, different seasonings, cheeses, you could even add seasonings and flavors to the bread too. i can't wait to experiment with it!

Manicotti

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2010
this was super good! but of course, like everyone else, i added a few things. instead of riccota cheese i used cottage cheese. i brown some hamburgers and sauted mushrooms and added it to the cheese mixture. i put both mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese on top. i also added some seasings to the cheese mix: basil, onion, garlic. i had plenty of filling left over. i think i'm going to freeze it and use it for some lasagna roll-ups some time. i also put half in a 8x8 dish before baking and froze it for later.

Belle's Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I made these to go with some sloppy joes since I didn't have any hamburger buns and didn't want to go buy any. They turned out wonderfully! My husband was skeptical when I said I was making some buns but he loved them! He even said that we should use these from now on instead of buying any. I didn't do the egg yolk on mine, but next time I definately will. I loved these and they were super easy to do!
