About this Cook
I stated cooking when I was 10, under the supervision of my parents. Both of my parents like to cook, especially my dad, so I had excellent tutors! For me, cooking is a way to relax and be creative at the same time. It's satisfying to have others enjoy my food.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make meat in many variations, stews, stir fry, veggies, sauces, etc. I've stopped eating grains and processed sugar and follow what's called a paleo or primal diet.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes a chicken stew with tomatoes, carrots, onions, and garlic that I love but can't seem to exactly duplicate.
My cooking triumphs
One of them: A perfectly brined, moist and delicious Thanksgiving turkey.
My cooking tragedies
Several, but that's part of the cooking game. Try, try again!

China Lake Barbequed Steak
So simple yet so delicious. I let my steak marinate for 24 hours and the taste was fantastic.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever
This is delicious and so simple! It was nice to come home and have dinner ready to eat. I cooked mine on low for 8 hours. I spread pureed ginger over the top of my roast before putting the bullion cubes on it. I also crushed the bullion cubes a bit before putting them on and I threw in a clove of minced garlic with the vegetables.

Ginger and Rosemary Pork Marinade
1/2 cup of lime juice was a bit too much for my tastes. Next time, I'll try it with 1/4 cup. Otherwise, very tasty and nice way to dress up pork chops. I wish I had a way to give this 4.5 stars.
