Let's see... I always hate writing these things, it feels like you either end up bragging about yourself, or making yourself seem dumb lol.
I live in the Bahamas and have two beautiful kids and an awesome man in my life.
Cooking is something I enjoy most of the time. I wasn't great at it when I started out my own life at 17 - 18, but I’d like to think I’m pretty darn good now! After years and years of practice, some hits and misses, I'm always improving. I'd say I'm pretty adventurous in the kitchen, because I get bored with the same old recipes so I am always trying new things.
I do prepare some Bahamian recipes, but my tastes are very versatile. I make-over other people’s recipes, and there are some recipes that are stored in my head only.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking and I love my crockpot. Not so big on the baking lately though, as I'm trying to eat healthier.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm not sure what to say here .... my tastes and cooking skills have changed for the better over the years.
My cooking triumphs
Almost every dessert I touch turns into amazing. I remember making my first pumpkin roll -- it looked so hard and it was so easy, I couldn't believe I had never made one before!
Lasagna is also one of my 'famous' dishes.
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to make thse curry chicken with broccoli roll-ups. They turned out to be tough and disgusting. But I must brag here, most of my recipes turn out good, so I am thankful for that.
