I am a retired Auto worker. (Tool & Die Maker) My newest passion is cooking. I love to try new recipes that appeal to me and my family. I try to avoid pre-packaged foods and prefer to make everything from scratch. I really like fresh fruits and vegetables and love to work with them when they are in season. I've started to bake bread now and am enjoying this adventure.

My favorite has to be Chinese, followed by Indian and then everything else.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am born and raised in Canada, and grew up on meat and potato's. My wife’s mother is of Asian decent from northern India, and therefore we cook a lot of Chinese and Indian cuisine.

Bread, Chinese dumplings, Sui Mei, Har Gow, Curries, all from scratch I may add.
